After last weeks "Future of Elite" video - where 90% of the developers talked about walking outside of ships as their most exciting future prospect for the game - it was clear to me that this would be the first expansion, and landing on planets would come much later. We can take today's newsletter as confirmation that walking outside ships will indeed be the first expansion?
So walking is the first expansion...

Wasn't it always planned as such? After all, how do you exit your ship to walk on the planet without getting out of your chair first?
Please no.Pesonaly i dont want walking on ships or stations, unless the game have more content and mechanics related to the space stuff.Please dont waste your time for gimmicks like this that doesnt add almost nothing to the game.Planetary landing will be fun i hope but is way far in the future as far as i know.
Well I think we are getting it. it's always been a main long term goal for frontier and they have quoted this idea many, many times. I've been told my a few friends and players that they have already got the physics for walking around up and running. It just needs fleshing out and tweaking.
