So what about this star cluster?

So there is a scattered star cluster of blue stars at that area. Almost every system in that has never been visited by players. It is located close to the out of place guardian ruins. I know the region is known but i also know 98% of players will simply overlook it. I also know you guys are really scanning those more obvious clusters hard. Why not this one? This cluster is limited to a LAYER of maybe 150 Ly on the map but most of it is within a 80Ly layer maybe. At the very least here should be some more guardian ruins i think. It's hard to draw a clear border here but it's still obviously a scattered cluster which sticks out from its surroundings in a subtle way. I think this region has been overlooked entirely.
On the screenshot i am a few hundred Ly below it close to the nebula where the planetary outpost is (en route colonia) looking up to it.
Someone send help. I can't scan this all alone. There will be opportunity to get your nametag on a few A and B stars aswell as some black holes and some 8th moons on several gas giants ;)

Hope there's something interesting there.
I might pop around, if I wasn't neck deep in another endeavour right now. :)
Find something & people will flock there!

yeah, what i thought. I'll post here what turns up. So far every system i entered was completely undiscovered. I watched some of this guys videos: https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCckqDqHroh4kRRFE2cuSgFg

he lays out in one of his videos how Raxxla might be in a 'cluster'. He also draws some connections from the exiled guardians to Raxxla. If he was right on both accounts the area to look in would be this one or one of the smaller neighbouring clusters. I think he has some good theories. I don't think Fdev would put Raxxla into a super obvious cluster. In my opinion what we should do is look for these less obvious scattered clusters. There are a few of them. Definately we should focus more on areas that are entirely undiscovered like these scattered clusters a bit further out. It's really super easy to miss these areas yet they stick out. It's really amazing how few people actually ever scanned this area given it sits directly on the colonia-bubble route.

Just my 2 cents. I might be wrong on all of this. I'll keep the thread updated. Many of the systems here have a lot of bodies (40+)

Looks like a "star cube" cluster to me. That's where the Stellar Forge makes a boxel of stars that are unusually dense in B-class stars. From the outsisde, it looks like a giant "Borg cube" of stars, aligned with the galactic plane.

The Stellar Forge doesn't make any other "star clusters" that are anythign more than statistical clustering. The only true "star clusters" are those with non-procedurally-generated names, hand-made systems copied from real-world star databases. And all of those real-world star clusters are already thoroughly explored.

Yeah, after looking a bit more at it it seems to be a sphere. Could be a cube too. I scanned about 40 to 60 systems in there. While some were bautiful and almost all were completely untouched by other explorers there wasn't anything too mindblowing in there. Getting those first explorer tags on all those waterworlds was good credits though. I moved on for now but plan to return to the area later to scan some more just to make sure.

Still i have to remind y'all how some of the generation ships were also hidden in entirely unremarkable systems with generic names. Also the known guardian ruines are also not in named systems. If i wanted to hide Raxxla i sure would put it into a system with a generic random name. So yeah, just because it's a random generated system doesn't mean it can't have something placed inside them.

Anyways, as it stands the pointed out area remains largely unexplored. Maybe some of those reading this stop by the area and scan a bit next time they come through on the way to colonia. It's really kinda on the exploration frontier. If you go back direction bubble 1500 Ly most systems have been scanned. There is a bit of a gap in front of the nebula with undiscovered systems but it's not a huge one. Around this area is where the undiscovered systems really start to outnumber the discovered ones.

That's merely a boxel of bright Stars. There's many of these around within ~10000LY of the core.

It's merely a visual artifact of a Stellar Forge limitation and the way the Game renders the Galaxy background - which leads to having those procedural boxel(s) highlighted so much.
