So what are the Alpha Backers doing now!?

Working my way up in the Sublime Order of Van Mannen's Star (got my permit last night). Not decided to join the PowerPlay yet.

My current stats: Master / Merchant / Trailblazer

Originally backed the game for a cool £1K on Kickstarter (can't recall what that got me in-game) but not played it much as personally have found it quite boring. Got into it a bit more recently but doubt I'll stick at it as I'm not finding anything that is particularly grabbing my attention. My personal opinion is that this game will be worth playing when it's modded and out of FD's hands but I'll keep an eye on future updates to see if it improves. Fingers crossed and all that.

Only really been spending a few hours in it a week now when i'm bored with everything else. I still glad I backed it and realise how far it's come (compared to other kiCkStarters and there budgets, clues in the caps ;)

I usually just bounce a few rare items between random rare commodity locations and engage in a bit of RES site / NAV beacon fishing, the odd worthwhile bulletin board mission (rare). Still scanning new bodies as I go.

Still only up to a $20m ASP but then I haven't been doing the trade grind.

Really waiting for planetary landings (with or without bases. They have to call that the 'Planetfall' update), just cant wait to see the various procedural landscapes. Either that or when the Thargoid invasion begins and we have to start defending systems as they start to spread across human space. Or just some real missions, searching hulking derelicts etc. Walking around in our ship and using the kitchen :)

Just needs a bit more meat on them bones.

I haven't played since the initial release of PP. Stuck with it for a few hours over the week of that release then ain't played since. It's just devoid of depth and I'm more than a little bent out of shape that the game doesn't bear much resemblance to the DDF proposals that I originally pledged towards. Doesn't even seem to heading twords that resemblance :( but I'm patient enough to get over that if they release some good stuff in future.

But the main reason I don't play I guess is that it doesn't at all suit the casual gamer nowadays. I just don't have the time to put to it especially when there are games like witcher 3 to play instead. Now there's a developer that delivers.

1.4 bil
Exploration : Elite
Trading : Elite
Pewpew : Dangerous.
About to enter the deadly to elite grind (outch)
Once it's done , I'll probably start my FA off training and my PVP training. Once I'm tired to get my ass kicked, I'll probably return out there in my trusted ASP, unless I stick around to smash a few xbone kids in CQC, just for the lulz.

I'm trading in a type 9 and occasionally going on exploration missions in my Asp.

I've barely done any combat since I keep getting the sense that my ship won't stand a chance. Yes an odd phobia xD

Beta backer.

Master, Merchant, Pioneer.

Currently doing mainly mining with a little bounty hunting in between. Next up want to try some piracy against pirates, because that seems like a fun things to do, but need to get rid of the mining itch first, it might take a while, its quite zen like, a bit like exploring which is my main career.

However, i do want to get involved in powerplay. Unlike others though, i'm content to sit back and watch from the sidelines before committing.

mainly combat and a bit of exploring. still having fun, which is incredible after so many months of intense gaming! not doing PP though.
and ... i want those planetary landings :)

Time for a public reissue or synopsis of the DDF wishlist? Is it out there somewhere 'public'?

too am feeling a bit deserted by FD with all the focus on handheld grinding and console pvp deathmatch.

Absolutely loving the game despite a few misgivings, can't get enough of it since learning fa off in the early days, it's all I play and finally have a decent large ship - Python all kitted out (don't have that much time to play which is why it's taken so long). Looking forward to whatever comes quite frankly, but even if the game stays in its current form (which it won't) I know I'll be playing this for a long time yet. I am officially addicted :)

There is no such thing as the DDF wishlist. The DDF did not 'wish' for things. All it did was comment on design proposals from FD.

Which is why so many of us are so unhappy - the game FD described in the DDA is so much better than the one we have.

Not all the early threads are there, but most of the proposals are in the Archive - link in my sig.
