So, what are the best money making methods post July patch work?

I have stuck to mining Painite for the meantime, but finding the markets are really unreliable. Rather, I have relied on selling my stock to generous Fleet Carriers. I haven't gone back to doing bounty hunt missions and pirate slaughters for some time, so can't comment on what they're like for fruit these days, but how's everyone else adjusting to the recent patch?

What are your big money making methods now? Or is that hush hush? Lol.

Edge of bubble VO hot spots. Find a pristine ring with a single VO hot spot and no FC in system and then park your FC over it and mine like you want.
Bonus if there are a ton of NHSS in system. Hunt goids, get blown up, mine for your rebuys. Have enough of a bank roll that you don't have to go find a best sell for weeks or months.

I found that doing cargo missions between Canopus and Exphiay while I was grinding Federation ranks was paying quite a pretty penny. Made around 50 mil in an hour and change. It's not a ton, but it's solid numbers. They would be much higher too if I was picking the credit payout options, but since I was grinding ranks, I was choosing Rep+++++ whenever given the chance.

There's also Painite and Void Opals, but I'm not entirely versed on the matter as I made my nut mining during the last gold rush, so I've taken a step back from mining research until the current hotspot bug is fixed and Tritium is back in a more reliable abundance.

Robigo passenger runs to Sirius Atmospherics is probably still OK. I guess I'll find out soon, if I can't find cheap tritium and I have to face the prospect of buying full-price.

You just need economy for those right?
I mix it, some people are snobs and will only pay top dollar for business or first class.
I got my Python passenger configuration plan from this guy's video. It works pretty well for me but doesn't mean it's the best way, just good enough for me.
I can never get to 150M an hour though. Must be magic involved there somewhere.

I switched to Painite too and just said the heck with it-I don't need the money really. It'll make money @500k-700k/t and a lot more in a day than any other way (mining in general that is). Even if I needed the money to buy a FC and was willing to grind it, I would still mine, probably LTD's even. I understand there are some lucrative missions to do in Colonia.
Personally I have other things to get going on other than making money. So I guess I am adjusted just fine atm.

Almost everything you do makes credits. If you are fixated on earning credits, then certainly only a few things in the mining arena will satisfy. However, if you don’t get stuck on grinding credits, and just play, doing whatever you think is fun, credits will increase over time. Where’s the rush?

Quince runs are potentially good again. I haven't had a chance yet to go test a theorycraft. Need a cheap small ship with a good amount of jump range (and still have shields). Don't do in an expensive ship.

It's a game, you play it your way, we'll play it ours. Trying to understand why people do the things they do will only give you a headache.🤒

Without getting to whether and why you need that kind of money ... my impression is that Painite mining is probably still the top earning activity. Not far behind it would be bulk trade, as the state-dependent price spreads on Tritium and Agro Treatment in particular make for shifting but lucrative routes. Then you have all the various kinds of stackable missions (passengers, surface scans, massacres etc etc) that can be enormously lucrative in the right circumstances. I'm reasonably sure that both trade and missions can yield higher peak earnings than Painite if you get the conditions exactly right, whereas mining is more of an all-day, any-day activity.

Don't need too...

Got 8bn in the bank.
2bn in the carrier..

Going back to the combat grind (only 48% into dangeous.. So a long way to go)

Not trying to make any really, did some Painite to unlock Celine Dion, got maybe 40 mils worth after Celine's cut.

No big buy plans for a while, maybe a Fed Gunship for max dakka but that's a fair bit of rep away.

Not one of these 'How much money do I need? YES!' types. I go get money when I need it.
