So it's a sand box and I was wondering how many people we have of each profession, if there are truly professions....

I am a bounty hunter and valient fighter for the alliance , I fight and trade , sometimes I smuggle artifacts , art and other items into low key alliance space to prevent more premitive nations like the fed or the emps from getting it , not that they want it , the feds dont understand art

I consider myself a beer trader, tourist and someone who helps making the galaxy a better place.
Looking at the statistics page of my ship I'm a trader and mercenary. Much has changed since I started supplying small outposts with liquor and beer in my little sidewinder wandering aimless through the galaxy searching that distant sun that should be out there but didn't show up on my basic scanner. Oh, those simple days long gone.

You know, we all get older and at some point you just want the comfort of a big ship, an easy trade route without to much interdictions, a nice station to call home and the occasional food donation to make you feel better after killing so many misguided pilots flying for some theocratic terrorist group or dictator.

I am a purveyor of slightly used goods for discerning plutocrats. Also an explorer. And sometimes a miner. Occasionally, when someone needs to die, I am Death's chauffeur.

I am also a sometime errand boy For His Imperial Highness. Occasionally, He needs me to fetch His Coffee; which I do.

I would love to be a smuggler but that feature isn't in the game yet. At least not to my standards of it being a profession.
salvaging would be fun as well again not in the game.
so in the meantime I'm a trader / soldier since I spend my time in conflict zones or A - B routes.

Mining for therapy, it's good for my Zen thing. Bounty Hunter for when the therapy does not work and I just need to KILL
Currently a giddy with excitement Miner after seeing what's coming up in the next expansion

An explorer, although I have also done some bounty hunting and mercenary work (PvE), as well as a little trading. Though the latter was just to upgrade my ASP.

Explorer/Murderer.

I like killing other commanders. I also like exploration, though I wish there was more variety and interesting things to do/discover out there. As it is, all you can really do is scan celestials and take pretty screenshots. I'd like to discover ruined stations full of murderous colonists gone mad in the deep black, merciless alien probes, abandoned spaceships, shady scroungers selling rare and sophisticated alien weaponry, etc. etc.
