So what is actually in Horizons included?

I am not sure even though I have watched a couple of streams (including the Gamescom ED stream) and read through dozens of threads.
Still, not sure what is actually in horizons included.

Let's see what we do know until now:

- Cobra MK IV
- This little buggy
- Planetary landings on rocky planets (moons, etc.)

- Additional content (?)

So, since we don't know wheather this additional content is a pancake or an apple, this content shouldn't be in the price included. First, second does anybody know if every planetary landing is included in Horizons? Because If this is not the case, EDH is not worth the 50 bucks (-25% for existing users).

Please share your information about Horizons, especially about what is actually included.

Thanks.

I think a lot of posters are missing the point. You are not paying for planetary landings. You are paying for a season 2 pass. that pass is called Horizons.
In Horizons will be contained planetary landings for moons and rocky airless worlds. There will be other goodies in that release. Over the course of the season will be other releases. These will contain various upgrades to the game. They will not all be planetary landing pbased.

Planetary landings is not a self contained upgrade. You are not handing your money over for that. You are simply paying for a season pass and whatever that contains...

Try to get the concept of paying for part of planetary landings and having to pay for it twice out of your head. That is not what you are paying for. You got season one expansions as part of the core game release.

Now you are effectively paying for the next set of upgrades. Planetary landings is only a part of that and will be bare bones. It will need work and will grow with future expansions in season 2 and probably 3 and 4 aswell.

FD really should have called it a season pass with Horizons being the first DLC, it would have saved a lot of confusion.

They mentioned surface bases, crashed ships and loot. Whether all this is included in the original release of Horizons is anyone's guess...it may be added later in the year, or added to with extra features. Buying the add on will mean that you get all the new stuff that is surface-specific as it is added along the way.

great so the next expansion will be "E:D now also on rocky planets with an atmosphere and maybe some bacteira (but only barebone)"

sorry.. me is waiting for nomanssky or Star Citizen from now on.

?!

They did just that.

Well they didn't though did they, they called it a season, and we all know that unless you absolutely specify everything people will get confused, I present the current situation as evidence. The situation has been confused by FD failing to use current terms properly :p

And that exactly is the sticking point for most people who are accused of "complaining/whining about the price".

So they called it season instead of season pass and that confuses everyone :D

I think the real problem are those who stated to leave the game since months and yet managed to be on the forums. I call them the Stockholm Syndrome crew.

Well what if we only want PL and not the extra crap they throw in? I don't really want another powerplay and don't care for it. But if I want PL (ALL of it) I have to buy this "bundle of expansions" instead plus the next one.

Can I lock onto SSC's from supercruise or is it in an upcoming season ?

And that exactly is the sticking point for most people who are accused of "complaining/whining about the price".

Instead of waiting a few months to see if the expansion is worth it they decided to create a 60 page thread to complain and whine. There is no sticking point - just wait, don't preorder if you are not sure.

BTW there are only a handful of people complaining about the price. The thread has only 300 participants, roughly 150 of them are defending the price model.

Well I would have some sympathy for that view.

FD are asking for a lot of money and giving very little information about what they are selling.

On the flip side, lots of people have been happy to hand over their cash regardless which only reinforces FD's strategy. If player simply held back their cash and asked for evidence of what they were buying I think FD would do whatever it took to get those sales.

The funniest part of all is that they rush like lemmings to hand over their money as if by doing so will make the expansion arrive quicker :)

Personally I will wait until the last minute before handing over my money. I want to see screenshots, hype and discussion before paying anything. On release day I will get my upgrade at the same time as everyone else... :)

Because FD is telling them spend money now or spend more later with this "limited discount".

Must be the first game with preorder bonus. Wait! It isn't! BTW I got a discount for the merc edition as well, why did nobody complain back then?

Because FD is telling them spend money now or spend more later with this "limited discount".

For an undisclosed period of time. At least when games go on offer in Steam, GOG, etc they let you know how long an offer will be valid for. All this vagueness really isn't helping.
