So what will those CGs "A Safe Haven ..." do?

What can we expect to happen after these CGs? I don't see anything about their effects. I doubt it will be anything as extreme as making them "no pvp" zones but will there be increased system security? Faster response if a CMDR is attacked by another player? I made some good money doing the LHS 3447 CG but I want to know what will happen, or if this was merely a CG to earn players some extra cash.

I don't think they were meant to do anything more than welcome in our new PS4 brother and sisters. And in that spirit -

Welcome, PS4 Brothers and Sisters!

Nothing, it's just a good way for the PS4 base to make some money and get acquainted with the the game.

My two cents. I could be wrong.

Well whatever the intention was the result of this event was a multi system lockdown and untold player ship wreckage floating around the system.

The huge number of bounties cashed in these systems will guarantee that those systems won't be going into lockdown any time soon.

Other than that, it's an excuse to have a CG.

Also, any new PS4 CMDR who checks the traffic report might notice that there's a few people around.

This. A BH CG is a good idea anyway to give the new players something to do & an introduction to the CG system. If it helps the BGS too then double win. I'd like to think FDev may have done it anyway :)

Agreed. I'm on PC so I'll never see the PS4 players and after the CG is done, resource extraction sites will continue to be 'low' 'medium' 'high' and 'hazardous'. It's just a way to make credits but also a way to get new PS4 players involved in a goal.

CGs were one of the first additional features added to the game post launch if I recall correctly. The setup hasn't changed really since then. Some CGs do generate some galaxy changes, but from what I understand they are manual changes that Frontier need to make based on the results (new stations etc).

Looking ahead to 2.4, CG would certainly be one of those things that could do with some love to make them more meaningful, more engaging & complex.
