So what's going on in the Colonia bubble?

I've recently bought, equipped and engineered two new ships to fly/send out to Colonia. A general purpose Python, and a mining/combat Federal Corvette. I'm also considering sending an Imperial Eagle too.

I'd imagine that in the fullness of time, lots might happen at Colonia regards Thargoid encounters.

But while I do passenger missions for a few weeks to pay the extortionate cost of transferring the Corvette there (it's not got a very good jump range), I'm wondering what sort of stuff is going on at Colonia anyway?

I was expecting to see one Colonia CG every week in late 2016, early 2017, but I haven't really seen that happening. Do you all know what's happening there?

Thanks all,

Mike

CGs at Colonia seem to be limited to the Colonia Expansion Initiative CG at the moment, which has been fairly competitive, but obviously as groups win they don't need to compete again next time, and it's unfortunately not one that encourages staying in the region while you do it. The first set of new stations from that should hopefully be going in really soon, though, which will double the region and possibly introduce a wider range of missions, as well as setting off some new environmental stuff for the BGS, and maybe attracting more people up for the player groups they belong to.

There's usually some sort of event on Saturday nights - last weekend was FA-off gravity limbo. There's a longer-term cryptic location search currently ongoing as well, and a few cataloguing and survey exploration projects for the systems near to Colonia (mineral surveys, system catalogues, volcanism/fungus searches, ELW and other PoIs).

If you're after combat you should be able to find the usual PvE opportunities (no compromised nav beacons yet, though), and there are a few PvP pilots and groups around as well.
