I'm hearing all this about The CODE being no more. I had to run over there in my DBX to see for myself. Looks like the Mahon bunch have finally decided to screw them over or am I mistaken?

Someone posted recently about an enjoyable encounter as the "guest" of a Code pirate wing - so I would expect that rumours of their demise are inaccurate.
Yeah, they are or were a pirate PvP group home based near the Leesti system. From the looks of things when I was there, their system is now under corporate control. Just the way the Mahon bunch likes it!
Maybe they packed up and moved or are simply taking their act to the road?

The CODE is more what you call guidelines, than actual rules.

From what I could tell, they never cared about the system control stuff much anyway, and applying for the code to be in their home system was more a "Might as well" kind of thing.
I'm not, not have ever been part of the group, but this is what I could tell from various posts from their guys.
They're into player interactions, and keeping a system under a specific factions control, is all NPC based.

Don't listen to the rumour mill, there's plenty of folk out there that don't like us or our playstyle. There's been all sorts of rumours and accusations - and nothing from us to the effect we're leaving or are done.

The Code will probably always be in the game, in Open, until they shut the servers down.

Colonists left Europe specifically to escape your old world breweries. That stuff about religious persecution? Its crap. They just hated the beer.

I would like to get an answer from one who does it, and all I hear are guesses as to what you do get out of it in game besides watching a ship blow up......not many traders running around with bounties that I see. [big grin]
