So when we can leave our ships, where do you want to be able to go first.

Do we have a rest room aboard by the way?
Just asking because I am sick of using those Luna Space Drink bottles all the time.....
So, maybe that would be my first visit.
I would like to have stations on planets first though.

If i had the choice, the first place I'd like to go walk-about would be a planet's surface. I don't really care for walking around stations.. Don't quite see the fun in that. To me that's like walking around a car park. I'd much rather fly to an unexplored moon or planet and go exploring for ...shinies?

Failing that, the ability to do EVA while in space so I can perform repairs on critically damaged subsystems. Putting a gun in my mouth each time I run out of petrol is getting old.

(only happened once)

A walk in and around the ship would be nice.
Maybe to check the cargo canisters when loaded (and re-label some of them considered illegal in that system :p)

I would be happy to play around to shape some private internal compartments: a little "office" in one corner, a public table for my guests (assuming that there's a feature of players visiting my ship) to talk about business, have a "bedroom" where I can sleep etc.

I'll head straight to the Coriolis control centre, shoot the station commander in the face, shutdown the force field protecting the entrance, reverse the thrusters to stop the rotation, and laugh at all the ships floating off their landing pads :D

I am keenly awaiting the "boarding" concept - i.e. either repel pirate boarders, or board someone else's ship to capture it. Yes, its FPS in Elite/why dont I just play CS instead etc etc but I think it would be cool. Capturing a Cobra might be simple, but capturing an Anaconda or even a capital ship? awesome.

Also EVA repairs and/or derelict salvage missions - e.g. enter a floating derelict and fix critical broken bits so that you can start up the engines again to salvage it and flog it for scrap etc.

The Bar to finally interact with players and then a completely hostile world where every living thing wants to eat you so that me and my friends can try to survive and hunt down some rare creature to sell for millions!
- I can dream can't I?

To the bar, yes!

Maybe skydiving from my ship onto some random planet if we get gliderpacks too.

Landing on a planet is awesome, but walking around your ship and then getting out and walking around the hull, that's what made me pay money for the game.

Bars in Elite Dangerous would be problematic:

Queue at the bar? - slip into solo mode

Your turn to buy a round? - slip into solo mode

Attractive young thing at the bar? - enforce multiplayer!

I'd like to land on an Earthlike planet really far away from humanity, and just enjoy the view. I imagine landing on a Sand dune, stepping out and looking up at the stars, or landing on a hill surrounded by green valleys, imagine the weird animals that might be there, maybe even some sort of sentient life! :)

You know. My thinking is now that they should first open open social areas like bars in order to help facilitate players meeting each other first.

So considering that Outposts don't rotate to produce artificial gravity like other stations, does that mean we would be floating around the station? That could be interesting.
