So, where is Alliance space?

Are Alliance Systems just strewn about or are there loose boundaries and clustered worlds like the Federation and Empire? Sorry... not up on the lore.

If you look on the galaxy map using the cool filters to highlight their systems they seem to cover a diffused area kind of towards galactic "north".

I started some distance away from their systems but it is where I would prefer to be. Too bad the ability to choose what area of space to start in wasn't an option.

Once you log in go to the galactic map and start working with the system filters and you will find them. I believe their systems will be highlighted in gold.

Overall, it almost seems like the empire is below, feds in the middle and Alliance topmost. Not sure if it's just the nature of the region I've found but it doesn't seem like the Alliance has quite as much controlled space as the other two.

What I *really* need to find is a border area with a Federation, Alliance and Empire system in relatively close proximity.
Thanks to the KWS my "bounties" screen is filling up with a crazy long list of claims for Alliance and Imperial systems... :D

Know the feeling. I currently live in imperial space, and have a long list of alliance and federal bounties to hand in.

I started in the middle of Federation territory, spent a few hours traveling to Alliance territory (reaching the neighbouring systems of Alioth), then spent considerably more hours traveling to Imperial territory. It's safe to say that the majority of my time in Gamma has been spent traveling and exploring, so far. In any case, if you want to travel to Alliance territory there's at least a few jumps you can't make in the Sidewinder, but with an Eagle or Hauler there's no problem (assuming you learn how to use the Galaxy Map efficiently).

There's barely any distinction between Empire and Alliance space. It's superficial, some different station skins and 3 different faction ships.

Sounds pretty much like it was in Frontier and FFE.

I'm stationed in Alliance space at the moment in Alcor, which is just next to Alioth, the Alliance capital. There's a fair few around there.

do we have any alliance faction ships yet? - I know we have seem capital ships for the empire and the federation - similarly the small fighters they carry and as playable options we have the imperial clipper and the federation dropship but I wasnt aware of any alliance ones?

I operated there for a while, as well. If I recall correctly it was a less than ideal area for trading, as there was an abundance of extration and refinery economies but very few other ones. The distance to neighbouring systems was also rather long, so having a full cargo hold constrainted my movement too much. Didn't have a Hauler at that point though, only a Sidewinder, as it was the first place I travelled to.

I'm not really much of a trader, I mostly play some sort of combat role. But right now I'm just running light cargo missions, selling exploration data to them and such to try to up my reputation with the Alliance. So far, though, I've ended up gaining an unfriendly reputation with them...
