So, which of the Beyond features are going in the base game (1.X)?

I've read the list of Beyond features (summarised below) and I heard FD say "everthing you've seen will be free to all Horizons players"... but which will go in the basegame?

Base game, with horizons elements relating to planet surfaces.

My guesses are based on my limited understanding of how simple it would be to gate off elements of the content without it getting a bit wonky.

I think going forward Horizons will be the last season to ever be released, I doubt that we will ever see a season 3 and that all future content will be purchased. for example being able to purchase a planetary landing module and being able to purchase access to engineers for those who don't own horizons. while those who own horizons will purchase a atmosphere module so they can get access to planets with an atmosphere. only guessing.

I don't know and I don't care as I have horizons.

Space legs? $15.
Atmo? $15
I don't see these prices being any less; given the prices of the aesthetic options on the store.

I doubt there would be many that would embrace a business methodology that requires you to purchase each feature to be able to use it.
That would be akin to buying Word and having to pay additionally for the spellcheck, table and document theme formatting features.
This doesn't seem sustainable; from a financial and/or a customer satisfaction standpoint.

More interestingly, what will MacOS get from season 3? And will they get a non-planetary Horizons, so they can get some features to improve their base game.

That sounds logical, I'm good with that, FD want to move from season to DLC and that is good, finished product ready to download, no hassle no dassle.

@Novo Mundus

Most of that "guess list" i think you may be right about, one i'm pretty sure you won't be.

New ships: I fully expect them to be Horizons only, and reasonably so.
We already have those, i can't see why FD would make new ships base game.

So far, all the new ships since Horizons released have been Horizons-only content. No reason to believe that any more new ships will be available to the base game.

I fully expect the Type-10 for 2.4, and the Beyond ships: Krait, Chieftain and other new Alliance ships to be solely available in Horizons.

For obvious reasons anything planetary landings related (engineers, planetary surface improvements) would be Horizons only in the current structure. But my guess is all Horizons features will be implemented in the base game at some point, if the whole seasons model is replaced as rumour says it will.

The new planetary tech will apply to the base game too, in the sense that you'll be able to see the newly textured, more varied planets from space, you just won't be able to land there. That's what happened when Horizons came out, anyway.

Rumour?? David Braben said the seasons model would be dropped. And it has new already been dropped.
