So who are the Guardians?

Well, I've been thinking, yes yes, I know but listen to me anyway...

In Star Trek Enterprise there are an inter-dimensional species who are referred to as the sphere builders, or as the Xindi's call them, the Guardians.
They can't stay in same dimension, and therefore to gain access to this dimension they build the spheres to change a part of the universe to fit them.

Now I'm not saying the guardians in ED are cut from the same piece of wood, however there are many similarities from the Guardians there and in ED.

Season 3 in Enterprise deals with the whole story and as I re-watched it, I see some similarities. That is all :)

I applaud you for re-watching Star Trek Enterprise.

I forced myself to watch it the first time round, I think it was Scott Bakula that did it for me.

Guardian's aside .... I, unlike Nick, enjoyed The Enterprise. But everyone's tastes vary .... But I believe "OUR" Guardians will be a wee bit different in the role they paly against the "T" ....

+rep 4 a great community member : rest assured that I (and many more, I'm sure) read carefuly everything you post. Furthermore, I appreciate your STE reference, this was a very underrated show amongst the trekkies IMHO.

Of course, I'm 100% unconvinced by your theory regarding the guardians but who cares. ? Isn't it odd that everyone on this forum PRETEND they didn't notice that some of the most dangerous skimmers (hahaha) are in fact called Guardians as well ? Hmmmm ? Like this is merely a coincidence ...

I see your STE theory and I tinfoil you with mine : the guardians designed the skimmers AI and they are taking over the Galaxy. Nuff said.

T'Pau makes it all worth watching again :p

It's T'Pol dammit :) And I totally agree, scenes in decontamination chamber and nerve pressure sessions are the best :D

I'm watching season 3 for the first time now, much better than seasons 1 and 2.

T'Pol, sorry Oh yes the nerve pressure sessions are priceless :p

Must admit, I've been wondering this too.

Are we to assume they're just another alien species that FDev have thrown into the mix because they figured having one absent species of aliens wasn't enough?
Are they going to prove to be useful in the fight against the Thargoids?
Or, in a totally unexpected plot twist, perhaps the Guardians ARE the Thargoids?

Maybe more like that the Thargoids are the War-Beasts created by the Guardians and than they wiped their creators :D

I pretty sure FDEV are nerds just like us, so they probably watch the same movies and series as we do, so with that in mind, yes the Guardians could be something sinister maybe even plotting agains humankind and we will need to seek the help from the Thargoids to defeat them in the end?

Back to Enterprise, I actually like this show a lot, the time traveler twist that goest through the show like a red thread is most intriguing!

and bringing in the reptilians is a great seasoning of the story at so many leves if you understand what I mean :)

Especially the decontamination scene :) ... thats a memory thatll stay with me.

So say we all....

I think T'Pau was the leader of the "terrorists" that followed the true teachings of Sarek in season 4 :) I thought she was pretty hot, too, aside from T'Pol :D

Yeah yeah, I know, IT WAS T'POL Damit!!! Anyways, watching the last episodes of STE and knowing it soon will be over I get a bit sad. STE is one of the best ST shows as it very different from the other shows.

Back to ED, the Guardians in ED are from the imagination of FDEV, and as I said before they probably watched the same Sci-fi shows as we did :)

The guardians have some link to the Thargoids if i was a betting man.
