i wouldnt think so..

Its not new content that needs testing, Its a series of story driven content activations that push the Thargoid return.

From the sneak peak video at Lavecon, the other bits seem stuff that could be tested in house - message organisation, ship rebuy based on ship you did naughty things in. So I wouldn't expect so.

And beta testing Thargoid overlords invading earth would spoil the surprise..

Could be a beta for the other stuff. We will find out soon. I could imagine the updated follow-on missions may need some testing. All depends on what is included as we have seen very little so far.

There's non-Thargoid stuff in 2.4 as well, such as repair limpets. So there will almost certainly be a beta, just one without Thargoid action in it probably.

Given that some people have payed extra for beta access (the £5.99 beta offer when 2.3* came out etc.) I would be very surprised if there was no beta.

*it might have been 2.2, or both

Nope, not getting the hype train this time. Every time I've been hyped for the next version of ED, I've been severely disappointed with it. Don't get me wrong though, I am looking forward to the 2.4 beta, but in a more mature, calm way than before. ;) :D

Yes, all feedback will be ignored

Yes, it'll be based on random rolls, cuz like, real game-scenario coding is so last decade.

No, it won't be bug-free

And finally Yes, if you don't like it, you can play something else.
