Social welfare maths

How exactly does the maths work, here?
My african wild dogs are giving me trouble. Well, they are fine, actually, but the inspector is unhappy.
Are there some hidden social stats I am not aware of? I'd like to do something about it, but I can't really help if they don't tell me what's wrong. Typical dogs.

It's actually logical. All the "social" stats are basic requirements for the animal's well being, so if for example an animal doesn't have enough space, it isn't "okay" because it has friends. It is unhealthy and harmful. So the stats don't make a 100% together, but rather the animal's welfare is hurt when its basic needs aren't met.

To give an equivalent, imagine you bedroom is only 90% of what it should be, so you have your bed, closet, and desk, but not enough room to go between them. Despite having 90% of the space your well beinh would be consistently hurt, more than just 10% of the time.

Yes, of course.
But like I said, it's a shame it's kind of a hidden stat. Well, not really hidden, but it is separate and visible somewhere completely else.
My intuition would be that if a stat influences the wellfare "progress bar", it should be listed underneath it like the other stats so one could see what's wrong.
