Sol to Colonia - 1h38min

I've been trying to make his build on coriolis but it doesn't seem to work according to the site, speed and total jump range just appears as 0. How does he manage to use just a 1d power distribution?

Oh I miss the good 'ol days when the galaxy was big. That said, I'd love if there was a wormhole or mass relay between the Bubble and Colonia. That self-aware station got himself there, surely he could figure a way to get the rest of us there as well. This is the only part of the galaxy I would want such a "fast travel" device. To me this would be better than pressing J for 1 hour 38 minutes (I'd rather press J for two weeks and feel like I accomplished something major).

No need for boost...no need for weapons...run with it shut off anyway...so why carry anything heavier?

you can fit the smallest PD possible on any vessel, but may not be able to boost anymore...
if you disable the AFMUs the powerplant can power the thruster and fsd so you get the values in coriolis. :)

Oh god. It takes me 121 jumps from Rohini to Gandharvi alone.

Granted, in a stripped 31 LY prismatic reactive Corvette, but still...

12000 LY to go

sigh

Edit: oh. I didn't realize Star Fox held the old record.

Has the exact route been posted anywhere though? I can't seem to find it.

Nope, apparently it was derived using special science.

Although, spansh give 80 jumps for a ship with 83.5ly range which could probably be reduced to 76 if using jumponium to reach the neutron stars layer

Heh, yeah, pathfinding is heavy wizardry :D

Kidding aside, I just checked Spansh too, and you're right. With that extreme jump range, Spansh does give 80 jumps, and this route was supposed to be 76. The Sagittarius Eye article linked was wrong when it said "about 27% shorter than the route computed by the popular neutron star routing service “Spansh”.", that's only 5% shorter.
Assuming Spansh wasn't improved since the article, mind.

Also, i cant seem to be able to build a conda with an "extra 8 ton fuel tank" and still get 83.5ly range.
best i can come up is this, but it only has an extra 4 ton fuel tank and it has 83.45 ly range - and not sure if a magicaly legacy lightweight 8d Sensor could compensate the difference

Anyway, the route is the catch since spansh does not compute the refueling stops.
