Hi there,
Thought I'd pop along to mention my space game Sol Trader - it's a space game that's all about people and relationships.
You can do all the usual things: trade, run missions, become a pirate, except that the game generates 200 years of characters before you even start the game. The whole game revolves around getting to know these characters. So for example: when you trade you're better off chatting to your cousin's friend because you might get a good price, or when you run a mission you'll need to actually find a specific character, who might have sloped off from work early so won't be where you expect.
When starting a character, you get to make your life choices from birth:
Jumping through a gate:
It's clearly inspired by me playing Elite on a BBC Micro at my friend's house back in the early 90s
except I always wanted to actually get to know the people on the planets rather than just fly between places.
There's a playable demo you can try and there's Kickstarter running to allow people to get beta access. I'm avoiding Steam Early Access (the game is greenlit, I just didn't want to limit beta users to having to use Steam).
Check it out, let me know what you think! I'm happy to answer any questions people have!
