Solar Flares

Just a thought, oughtn't the stars in elite to include solar weather? By that I mean Cornoal Mass Ejections, Solar flares, Solar winds and such like?

I think you need to just sit and watch a star for a few moments, all of this is already a thing; except solar wind because you can't really see solar wind, not with eye's anyways.

Maybe it's the sense of scale that is getting lost here? Lets say you run into the exclusion zone of a star. You are still hundreds of thousands of km's away from the surface of the star. All those bright things leaving the surface are flares/CME's, some of which you can fly through meaning they are hundreds of thousands of km's from the surface. I hope that makes sense.

When you first enter a system the star will look to be quiescent, that's because the system has only just been generated for you, it takes a while for the processes put in place to actually become visible, the CME's we see in these pictures are thousands of kilometers long. Yes they move fast, but even at that speed you can wait 5 or 10 minutes for them to develop fully.
