Solaris and Thargoids

The original movie or made for TV series not the American remake. Seeing Thargoids raise or grow their ships from the planet's surface just reminded me of the book/movie. Could it be that they are merely objects of out subconsciousness?

Is the overall message that Space is not for us because we haven't even yet figured out how to communicate with each other much less aliens?

If so then well played FDev.... well played.

Fun fact: The book Solaris was published just before the end of the Soviet Lunar program.

This is from my first trip out to see Thargoids. I hadn't even been to Maia yet. It might be my second only trip outised the bubble.
I lifted the voice over from the first half of this old video from the 2007 version of Solaris.
Which is great - ignore the haters, it's flawed sure, but the Tarkovsky film is glacial in it's pace. It takes about a year to watch it.
