Sold my python for a Vulture

so i sold my python for a vulture..
after lurking around here in forum i was very hesitant to sell my python, i really dont have the creds for buying a vulture without selling my beloved python.

so ..i decided to jump into it. sold my python fully equipped a vulture and 2 C3 lasers. full shields etc etc, altho i have to shut down the cargo scoop to be able to run all, but thats not a big issue=P.

and wow! just wow!
i,m very impressed with this little ship, well not that saml but u know what i mean =P.
i can handle just bout every thing they throw at me with my to large pulse lasers ,,and i have the mobility like a eagle! that alone made it worth it.(mind u,, i only play PVE, so i havent encontered any players, but thats my style of playing ED.)

So now my new favorite ship is called the vulture =P.

cheers

I am very impressed with the vulture as well. But of course combat incomes are not that great. So maybe you should invest in a cheap trader as a second ship (T7/clipper). Since you had a python, i am sure you got enough money left :)

yea i can afford a good trader tub if a want too =P,,,

but for now i,m just so tired of trading,(actully been awol from game for a month, needed a break from it)

gonna try out the vulture at a RES later today, to see how it perform against bigger and better ships than the one u have at a nav beacon.

cheers

Its a precious little gem indeed. I sold my fully kitted Asp to get one. Its just a chair bolted to two large guns duc-taped together around an engine, but I love it :D

Do (2 x C3) weapons kill much faster than (2 x C2) + (4 x C1) ?

I am very tempted to do the same but I am not sure atm, as the other 1.2 additions have allowed me to double my Asp's original hull (D5 hull reinforcement) and increase its sheild stength by 40% by running twin A class shield boosters ...

So my Asp is definitely a tough beast but perhaps still lacks bite ... Do the Vultures 2 x C3 weapon mounts allow it destroy targets significantly faster than a fully kitted Asp?

Someone hasn't been to 1.2 RES sites yet! ;)

Combat incomes have just become a lot more consistent! Not quite perfect, but much, much better!

Lol... erm... just a bit. Let's just say, it's like going from the Sidewinder to a Viper all over again! Vulture Vs Asp is literally no contest.

Whew, I was gonna say! Keep a trade ship around, the Vulture doesn't have an easy time paying for itself >.> Also for saving up for upcoming stuff on the horizon. I might disagree with why players have to do that, but I'm a realist to circumstance too - just ask my Type-7 and its incredible overheating jump-drive :p

Hey Hitsuke,

Thanks in advance,
kind regards !

PS: how much top and boost speed does vulture have with best trusters available... anyone ?

I hear this too. Between better spawns and lower repair costs combat is supposedly much better for the old profit margins now. Hopefully I'll get to see later today >.>

Yea, asp is a really nice ship, but for combat a vulture is much better. Large weapons have no penalty against big ships, so anacondas go down much faster. I think against smaller targets asp and vulture kill at about the same speed, but that's really saying nothing... cause small targets are no challenge for either ship.
Add the way better shields and the way better manouverability and you know why vultures will beat asps any time (with same pilot skill). I was very sceptical about the high price, but a fully kitted vulture is actually not much more expensive than a fully kitted asp. I know because i did the exchange, had to pay only a few millions on top.

For RES sites: Yea, that's the first thing i did in my vulture. They are really nice now. But still, trading makes so much more money, it's no contest if you have a big enough trader. You can't make several millions per hour at a RES site, not even with a vulture. It's nice that combat income has increased a lot though. But if you want a FDL, you better do some trading.

At resource extraction sites, there is now a lot of variety what kind of pirates appear, that includes wanted Pythons, Dropships, Clippers, and Anacondas, with the correspondingly bigger bounties on these ships.

When you go to RES now you see numerous NPC ships, including: Anacondas, Pythons, Clippers & FDS. They have bounties ranging from 30k up to 100k+ and they are very common. It's also not very difficult to find good spawns like this. I get them 50% of the time now, so money making is much better at RES. I made 1.3m in an hour at one last night, so yes folks... that Vulture isn't as far away as you thought it was ;)

True! I made 1mln cr in 40 minutes this morning in a Vulture! It's now as profitable as rare trading, I'm very happy.

Ha ha, yep pretty much.

If you want some real fun, drop the A5 shields to C5, and swap the pulse lasers for C3 gimbal beam lasers. Oh boy. So beastly. And you don't really lose much shielding.

And it looks mean as hell, and sounds like a Harley Davidson.

I still find this income is woeful :/ farming ice rings before they removed them made you 2-3x that if you could take the constant 3v1. At least i don't get sidewinder every time though so maybe i'll test it out some more could be that i had a very unlucky 20mins yesterday.
