Solo Combat:)

I made "ELITE" playing Elite on a BBC B disc in 198X.
When I got the Naval power supply I was near invincible:) Well I had backup;)
Elite Dangerous (ED) sort of gives me that feeling, sometimes.
But I think I want to try playing 80's Elite.
I miss the rear camera view, + left and right<shrug>.
I could play for hours, this way pirates after me:)
If I remember the best version of Elite pre 2000, was the BBC Tube version.
Anyway which version of old Elite should I play? :)

My vote for best classic Elite goes to the fairly recent “Elite Legend” - a modded version of the ZX Spectrum 48k game, made for the 128k Spectrum: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/elite-legend-zx-spectrum-2021-best-8-bit-elite.596176/
I’m playing via an emulator on an Android tablet with a Bluetooth controller and it is quality stuff 👍
