What is bizarre here is I see people say they occasionally see 150T etc. missions for 8-9 million while allied. A friend of mine and myself discussed this as we only see 1-2 million. Never seen any of these 8-9 million except in screen shots. It is very strange.

Apparently, you're just playing it wrong.
You need to move, rank up and repeat until you find THAT system.
Then settle down, buy a fancy space condo with all them credits, move the wife over and profit.

I get that is a jest, but I notice I didn't mention I am already elite x 3 (for the rank)
I have seen 8MCr but they are very rare and you have to put the time in to find a system with the right exports, in the right state, and you need to be allied with the local factions.
I don't even mind there being rarer high paying missions as it adds an element of skill finding them, but there should be easier to find base missions that offer a decent payout for CMDR's who fly larger ships like the T-9 or the Cutter. No Elite + allied T-9 or Cutter pilot should have to settle for an 800kCr mission doing haulage, ever.
I've come to believe that all the Elite rank does for you is spawn higher ranked NPCs and get you into Jamesons...
