solo vs wing spawn rate for res farming

Hi folks.
I was wondering if anyone has done any research on spawn rates for wing vs solo.
I did a search https://forums.frontier.co.uk/showthread.php?t=127925 but this does not really provide the answers.

What I would like to know, is...

IF THERE ARE 2 OR MORE PLAYERS DOES THE SPAWN RATE INCREASE IN RELATION TO THE NUMBER OF PLAYERS.

I am aware that people have tested spawn rates and the conclusion seems to be that all res sites follow the same system.

There is a link for reddit https://www.reddit.com/r/EliteDangerous/comments/3297p3/new_hypothesis_on_wanted_spawns_in_resource/ - Though it seems inconclusive.

There has been a post on this forum but I can not find it that shows that security, size, economy and other factors or of no consequence in the spawn rate.

Though for those that do RES farm has anyone gotten any ideas?

I suspect that it may be more profitable to res farm solo, though it seems counter intuitive. I have winged up but the rate of spawn seemed the same as in solo, meaning the same number of bad guys leaving the winged commanders to split the earnings. Yet if 2 or more players were to solo for the same res site they would make more per hour.

I do enjoy wing play, yet I also need to finance my lacklustre python need a lot of cash to a spec it.

I do lots of res bounty hunting, sometimes solo, other times with friends in the same instance. Spawn rates and ship type spawns seem to be pot luck, if nothing large spawns then jump out and back in till you get larger ships spawning. Overall my profits in solo and profits winged up are usually with a couple of hundred thousand of each other so from that I would say that yes, there may be more spawns / more larger ships winged up but it's not a massive difference credit wise but co-op play is of course more fun :)

OP is not complaining about not finding Pythons and Anacondas. He's complaining about RES sites being empty because several CMDR's in the same site kill faster and end up having to wait for the next spawn. I realized this even before wings, and confirmed nothing changed when Wings was released. I don't bounty hunt in instances that have other CMDR's because it means more downtime.
.
The same thing applies, to a slightly lesser degree, in Conflict Zones.

I agree with the fun bit.
I am trying to persuade a few friends to get back into the game.

If I can get them to make a few mil, thy will be happy.

Though I am not certain that the way instancing works takes in to account the number of players and increases the spawn accordingly.

Some have said, that if you split a wing and they stay far enough apart then you generate a spawn for each player. But when I tried this it did not seem to be the case, though I will have to test it more.
The few times I have winged and the players have stayed close the rate of spawn seems to mirror that of solo.

Though I can not be sure.

I can say, I was hitting a chain of big fish, until my mate joined the instance then just a stream of sidewinders. Perhaps He became the host? Though as I was there first I would have assumed that the instance would have stayed with the "current" host

This is about right.
To be fair though, I can not really complain too much on this issue, but it would be nice to take player numbers in to account when spawns are calculated.

I understand, this would leave the door open for multi accounts and farming with afk assistants so checks would need to be in place.

But thus far, there seems no consensus.

I suppose for the time being, if you need to grind cash you are better as a single player, either in solo or in your own instance.

Though on another note, The best results I have had in terms of cash profit have been res farming on my own in open, though this may just be a few flukes.
