FYI - If you don't use NVidia NVision 3D, you can skip this thread...
I use the "Helix Mod", to fix many of the problems ED has with NVidia's 3D LCD shutter glasses. If you've never heard of it, search these forums for install info, it greatly improves the 3D effect.
I have been using Helix for many months without problems, but 2 weeks ago, I switched to playing ED with my 4K monitor (which has no 3D). My deskspace is limited and it's a pain to switch monitors. I landed at a Thargoid structure and wanted to experience it in 3D, but could not. I could play other games in 3D, but not ED. I've spent many hours trying to track down the problem, including reinstalling the Helix Mod. No Luck. I finally fixed it late last night. (Too late to actually play.

Solution: I had to run the uninstall.bat file to first uninstall Helix, then reinstall it. I'm not sure why the uninstall step is necessary, but in my case it was.
I hope this post will save someone hours of time trying to fix their borked 3D.
