[Solved] NVIDIA V-sync How?

I have a GeForce GTX 1060 6GB running on an i7-7800X @3.5GHz

I also have GeForce Experience. (After over 40 years fiddling with low-level stuff, I like an easy life.)

I'm thinking of disabling V-Sync in order to speed up FSS.
I understand that if I disable V-Sync in ED, I need a setting in the NVIDIA driver that skips frames to avoid screen tearing.

Where is that? The NVIDEA Control Panel only has options directly related to the screen (60Hz only) or custom, which doesn't seem to have the relevant option.

Would ditching Experience give me a different customisation panel? I'm loath to fiddle with it if it won't give me anything useful.

you can choose to set it globally, or using the application tab, you can set it per game or application. so some could be on and some could be off.

even if you set at the global level, off for example.... you could make a application have it on still

I think if you leave that set at "Use the 3D application setting" then you can just disable v-sync in elite's graphics settings. That is what I do and I don't get any tearing.
