Some additions/modifications requested

I would like the developers to consider adding the following to the game:

1. Landing pads large enough to accommodate Lakon Type 7 ships on outposts. I recently tried landing on Nordenskiold Landing at NGaliba but was refused permission on the grounds they had no pads large enough to accommodate my ship, and without this ability my interest in the games pretty much ends

2. A large cargo ship (Type 10 Super-Heavy?) capable of carrying upto 1000 tons and travelling upto 100LY in a single jump

3. An auto undock feature that allows computer-controlled departure from starports which then dumps the ship safely outside the starport

4. An addition to the challenge scenarios inwhich the gamer is invited to select a ship and build it with whatever components they desire before attacking waves of hostile ships

5. An additional Class 1 slot for docking computers on every ship (when I was building up my Lakon Type 7 I was irritated I needed to sacrifice a Class 3 slot for a docking computer)

I have mentioned some of these in the forums but the reaction has been lukewarm and I am hoping contacting the development team directly will bear more fruit

Otherwise this is a brilliant game and I hope the developers will place serious consideration to my suggestions which I believe will take minimum amount of time develop and deliver whilst greatly enhancing the gameplay experience

adding a slot for docking computers kind removes the whole point (them being a tradeoff)
how about separate sized DC's?
so you could get either a docking or and undocking computer for for size 1 each OR heavier modules with more features?
size 3 has both included
size 5 has docking, undocking, and say....auto throttling on FSD approach
size 7 has the same + auto gliding

Considering that a ship can take off and land on a planet w/o a docking computer, why should a DC require a slot AT ALL? A DC is simply a quality-of-life feature, unlike shields, weapons, etc., which provide a real in-game advantage. There is absolutely no good reason that a DC isn't included with any ship that can carry an SRV.

Because it's an additional function added to a ship that doesn't innately possess it, ergo, it needs additional room. A ship can't automatically take off/land on planets, and you have to give up a slot for a planetary hanger, your argument doesn't make any sense.
DCs have always been a luxury, one most players avoid. There's no need to make it baseline.

My ship takes off on its own when I dismiss it and it lands on its own when I recall and I don't have a docking computer.

in an empty, flat area, and can still crash and explode
and even that adds an extra core component which cannot be removed! (ie, that in atmosphere things isn't installed unless you have horizons)
the problem is, your asking to skip an interesting gameplay segment which some people (myself included) enjoy, making EVERYONE have this is kinda weird, your basically asking for a mechanic to be removed

Try dismissing your ship if you don't have a planetary hanger fitted ;)
The planetary hanger includes the auto take off and landing functions.

Oh for the love of god... Really?

1. You can't wait for the landing permission, it's land me no now or rage quit? I think you have bigger problems than what the game is creating issues for you.

2. You are aware that tractor trailers have for MPG 4 to 8 miles per US gallon (59 to 29 L/100 km) and that's for hauling 44t. You're wanting that Type 7 and bigger have the MPG of a Toyota Prius?

3. Given the NPC Beluga, Orca and Type 9 pilots have the attitude of "We Brake for No One", yeah this isn't going to end well. Rebuy can be a , cargo lost and you can end up fined. Thanks, but no.

4. You mean in-game instead of using Coriolis? Oh yeah, I can see this being implemented by the devs. Immediately too!

5. You can't land/take off without a Docking Computer? Even without the HOTAS I was able to do this, and not even skid my ship to a stop (like it has wheels on an aircraft) on the deck. Mouse & Keyboard users I've watched stream seem to be able to do this too.

I can't imagine why the player base is lukewarm to it. Might it be because reading issue 1, shades the whole message as being demanding and the actions of a spoiled child and not someone of maturity, intelligence and looking for player/gaming balance?

1. Outpost don't take large ships, that's game design to make outposts different that normal stations and allow them some perks in terms of prices etc. Large ships would totally defeat that.
2. So, a get rich quick ship? Right.
3. An auto get me in the air with as little fuss as possible button? Right.
4. Meh, not worth the development time.
5. DC is optional, you sacrifice a slot for the convenience of auto docking. Fine as it is.

Rebuy all checkbox

Would like to see a modification of the insurance rebuying screen. The 'rebuy all ' should not have a checkbox, it should mean what it says. If necessary a separate box could read 'buy selected'.

My ship takes off on its own when I dismiss it and it lands on its own when I recall and I don't have a docking computer.

in order for it to do that you must have Horizons which adds an additional size 1 slot with the Planetary Approach Suite (sort of like a planetary docking computer). You can remove this and replace it with a standard Docking Computer if you'd like, but then you can't land on planets.
