Engineers Asp Explorer some advice on my FSD upgrade

following great advice in the newcomer forum, i now have a grade 5 FSD upgrade fitted to my Asp Explorer. I have upgrade a 5A FSD and the build i am following is the Planetary explorer build on coriolis.io.

its nearly completed. I still need to buy a few AFMs and the suggested 6A fuel scoop was a little out of my price range so currently using a 3B. will get that when funds permit.

So on to the crux of my questions. I have fully upgrade the FSD for jump range but dont really know if its worked well and if im being honest, not really sure what i was looking out for. I know my jump range is way better than before i started. Outfitting reports my Min/Current/Max as 51.04/50.96/55.03LY. is this OK or should i try to re-roll?

the other stats in the roll window are as follows

power draw - up 15%
mass - up 30%
integrity - down 15%
optimised mass - up 55%

onto the last question. I have flown back to Farseer Inc to add an experimental effect, but not really sure which one i should go for given the above info? any advice?

Typo, right? You meant you have a 6B scoop? Which is fantastic BTW, the 6A is a luxury for a 32T fuel tank.

It’s coming together nicely, congrats! Also, don’t forget the Guardian FSD booster as well, it’ll increase your jump range by about 10ly - well worth the trip and unlocking if you haven’t done so already!

I second this.

Additionally, if you are looking at getting into combat, you may want to get the materials to unlock the guardian shield boosters while you're at it. They can turn just about any ship (regardless of how good their shields are to begin with) into a decent shield tank. To give an example, I have an Eagle with ~450 MJ of shields using a size 1 thermal bi-weave, a chaff launcher, and guardian shield boosters. Yes, it's just as ridiculously fun to fly as it sounds.

As for any of the other guardian modules, I cannot recommend going for them unless you are planning on doing AX combat. I can't vouch for the guardian fighters, but they look like they might be decent side-grades based on their weapon systems.

Optimal mass max G5 value with mass manager will be +61.2% or 1692.6t for a 5A FSD.
55% is the max without the mass manager.

I also support the GFSD booster recommendation.

For explore all three of my builds use Armored PP (heat efficiency), Increased range 5 FSD+Mass manager. Depending on the rest of your build your mileage may vary.

This is basically my thoughts on the matter.

If I'm going to be away from the bubble for a long time, having a beefy power plant will give me the ability to stay out for as long as I want since I really don't need to worry about cumulative power plant damage. G5 armoured with thermal spread gets my power plant to at least 100 hitpoints regardless of what power plant I'm running (I can get over 200 if I'm running at least a 5A) and an excellent efficiency of 0.32 (overheating is very rarely an issue with this).

For the FSD, G5 increased range is my go to mod. For the secondary effect, deep charge can give you better range on size 2-4 FSDs, but mass manager will give you better fuel economy. Personally, I always go with mass manager, since the range difference is usually negligible and I don't really care too much about FSD integrity compared to power draw and fuel economy.
