Greetings fellow space travelers,

The more I play this new Elite. The more I think about the old game that I knew and liked so much (and played far to much of) way back when. While waiting for the game to load and watching my shiny new Cobra Mk III spin on the screen. This tune, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=4lKKy3l_5YI, often plays in my head.

Gaming moments. We've all had them. You're playing a game and then something happens in it that makes you go, "Oh Wow!, this is so freaking cool." One gaming moment I'll always remember is when I first used my docking computer in Elite. Back then docking wasn't as easy as it is now. I had finally earned enough credits to afford one. I flew to a station, lined up with the entrance and then hit the C key. I had no idea about what was about to happen. Next thing knew, out of the speaker of my 1702 came this lovely tune, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=L-VJeVPeawk. Being a fan of "that" movie. My jaw dropped. "Oh Wow!, this is so freaking cool." I thought.

What are some of your favorite memories of the old and new Elite?

Blue Danube brings back memories. The graphics have improved slightly haven't they? Used to have some retro 80's tunes playing in the background as well. Not many games soaked up as much of my time as elite.
