Engineers Some comments, metal scraps and salty tears

So ignoring the series of non-success in the updating regards for the past night, one was finally able to get the patch update done and dusted. Staying positive here.

Feeling extremely excited, having tried out the Beta i had reasonable but reserved expectations to the refreshed and challenging Elite Dangerous with increased dangerous characteristics.

Bee-lined towards one of the community goals (hand in bounty in a system with RES? sounds good) to get progress started. On my way i was chased by a handful of NPCs no less than Elite ranked (ie all of them) saying that "hey look! there's my meal ticket!", some of them i got away from but the other 'some' were quite the havoc-causing-frakers.

Here to put it out there, i might not be the best in dogfight, i may also be a disgusting all-for-PVE-person, but RES bounty hunting is hella-fun with the good ol anaconda- decently upgraded (pats conda) and the improved enemy is a welcoming challenge- at first.

Sadly, being a chilled-gamer, this bunch of 'psychic bounty hunters' (with habits like after dropping in normal-space they would immediately shout 'scan completed, <insert menacing threat>') are to be called hax, everytime they would almost certainly take out half my utilities, fsd, power plant, life support and or the entire ship without fail, as if convincing me being happy to get the Elite rank was a mistake becuase now 6/6 NPC tailing me would be so.

Don't get me started about being mind-BOGGLED that the refurnished Elite-rank-morale-boosted FederalDropship can happily sit on an Anaconda's tail whether it is just turning (talking about 3pip-Eng 50% throttle decent turn speed) or FA-off turning, i would not see the FedDrop in my view until around 50%hull is left - the hell? [blah]
If i've missed a buff for the FedDrop i shall revisit it in no-time as i love it to bits, but let me wipe up my puke first.
This FedDrop pretty much clamped on top of my tail and wrecked my powerplant in no-time- by this time i was familiar to where the reboot/repair button is. Luckily security ships came by and took aggro off me- a competent and expert, and they were having a good time duking it out with this FedDrop not like some Elite-Ranked Decent-upgraded Scrub Anaconda and the FedDrop dropped (heh) in tens of seconds!
Is every NPC an Elite now, with the mask of a baby?

It's already much spicier than what i encountered in the Beta, but hey! It doesn't end here. [where is it]

Upon entering a RES i noticed a couple of powerplay-related NPCs usually pop up first-hand, ok i gave it a shot- here's an example.
3 NPCs, 2 Federal Agents, ~Expert / Deadly ranked. The 3rd is a Torval's Shield, and being in Denton's Empire-aligned faction i thought "good i stand a chance-" before Torval's Shield considers my 20 Limpets and 4 Articulation Motors(5k@) is worth a non-voluntary-donation and opened fire. Suprised and stunned, ofcause i ran like hell when three of them all rained rockets at me along with malfunctions here there everywhere.

That's the starter; here's the mains.[sour]

I popped to a low-intensity to test the waters, decent spread of Miners / Pirates / Security spawning, the baby-ranked pirates are quite a lot 'better' than the 2.0 baby-pirates - sometimes even under-ranked but deal-able; but the security ships - no matter what ranks they can have they will be relentless and fight like aces, 3 pirates in a wing with me initiating the fight usually ends with Security picking 1.5 of them off because there would be SO MANY of them (2/3 contacts would be Federal Security Services) and my god they're good. (or Pack-tactics is good)
Once again, Is every NPC an Elite now, with the nickname / masks of lower ranks? (imagines zoro)

I understand the new AI and their tactics are very advanced now, hell-to-the-yeah and all that, but instead of carpet-changing everything to master-of-arts-pilots, right now it is very over-the-top integration. I would really want this to let up a degree - even a bit.

Consider during the Beta times i (and a mate) babysat (baby-sitted? eh.) a friend of mine from pretty much start-of-career, nurtured him by taking him to a Bounty-HandIn CG with a refuelling ship, kicking him from SideWinder up to a Vulture within that week... His comments were among the lines of "I would have absolutely no clue how to play the game if not for you guys, and i would not be able to advance in such incredible rate..."
Now with the enhanced-everything, if everyone were not playing with friends in Wings, gameplay difficulty would have increased exponentially for the Harmless and the Clueless - from the difficulty level it is now at; and how many people would be able to hold on to EliteDangerous, understanding and figuring out how the game works before getting their ships and themselves blown up to salty smithereens?

I've got salt pouring out of my ears you don't hear me... wait you just did.

Thanks for reading,

Ok, it was my mistake to take VALUABLE LIMPETS coughAndArtMotorscough to a RES. That kind of pirate fishing is too effective.
*Dumps all cargo* wish me luck

*edit 'Update'*
One more attempt was all it took.
NPC, Elite, Anaconda, "i've been tailing you a while now, now you're mine!"
Disappeared, thought he crashed into an asteroid ring and dropped out, cheeky.

Dropped into a HighRES, lo and behold the disappearing Conda NPC, and FIVE to SIX powerplay NPCs.
(by the time i meet the Powerplay NPC im at 0 shields and 90% hull because Conda is TOO DUMB (or too clever? hmmm) to avoid ramming- *ehem* Snake kisses, nose to nose kisses.)
I turn around, stow weapons, immediate fsd fail, thruster fail, yadda yadda yadda.

Frak. *signs insurance papers, hands over 11mil* [downcast]

I'd say the entire combat didnt last up to 1 minute.

LET. IT. UP.

*edit 'What!?'* so i came sat in my conda again, i look to my left, all my bounty claims gone, that's fine- wait, 1 remains: "Dormant bounty, 238k, lift-up in 1 week" - the ONLY bounty i had before the entire Elite NPC mob came looking for me.
...At least that Conda did not get paid for his ammo. Around 5 shots of Plasma Rounds. *muffled sobs*

Let. It. Up.
Let. It. Go.
