Some exploration advice please

Hi CMDRs,
After a long time in the bubble, I decided a few days ago to venture out. I have travelled 13.1KLY, which is a lot for me. I planned to head to Sagittarius A* in my trusty Asp explorer but I have currently taken a detour to the clookie sector neutron star farm.
My question to you all is this: do I keep going to another 13KLY to Sagittarius A* and risk losing the exploration data I have and my ship or do I scan a load of neutron stars where I am now and head back?
My asp is kitted out purely for jump range (no shields or hull reinforcements. Only an AFMS).

It's really a personal thing. If you're not bored with the long distance, then push on. You could always go to Jaques to "bank" the bulk of your exploration data.
If, however, you're a bit over it then head back.
13 kylies isn't a bad effort by any stretch. My first really long distance was with distant worlds and I ran back after a bit over 10 k to cash in an ELW. You're doing real well if this is your first big trip out imho.

Not sure why you think that continuing for SagA is a greater risk to lose your data than farming neutron stars. Ultimately it depends on what you want to do. If you want to see SagA then continue. If you are there simply to get enough exploration data to rank up to Elite then farm neutron stars. Do what you want, you think is fun, and takes your fancy. There is not one way of doing things. Just your way.

Continue with exploring the galaxy.
I went to Sag A, wasnt sure where to go next so i circle around for a couple of weeks now.
Playing on 2 different accounts btw. so if im bored i use the other for messing

Take a detour after to colonia and hand it into jaques station, exploration data helps him to expand which then means more colonies are built in the new colonia nebula area.

So it means that youre exploration data now counts for something and has an impact on the galaxy
