Some exploration questions

Hello everyone,

I recently made it back from an exploration trip. I started in 1.2 and returned in 1.3. Have a couple of questions:

1.) I noticed that in 1.3, it seemed that the system map was showing all stars in a system, before scanning. I only have a Basic Discovery Scanner, so I thought it's possible to enter a system and fly to a star that's not listed on the system map (Since my scanner might not pick it up if it's > 500 LS away). I did this some time in beta, not sure if this has changed?

2.) I got a few first discoveries (yay!). I took screenshots of the system names. Is there any website/service that lets you look up discoveries by commander name? Would be great to have this type of query in game.

1. The galaxy map shows all stars of all systems, but only the primary star is 'discovered' so you can jump to the system. AFAIK, other stars and stellar objects in the same system must be discovered the normal way, and the Advanced Discovery Scanner helps a lot with this. The Basic scanner only picks up objects being 500 light-seconds or less away.

2. At this time there's no public database available to see who has discovered what, et cetera, as far as I know. I hope FDev will implement this at some point.
