First of all: Sorry, because i dont like these "rant" thread and all that... And as this isn't about rant and blaming this and that, it is about discussing where some things are going.
So.
Do frontier want us to Combat Log more often? Is that what they want?
Because now, when 2.2 arives and we find ourselves a dear AI friend in the lonelines of our ships, it's what gonna happen.
The NPC dont follow rules.
The Players are impune (kind of), and their reasons are far away from "pirating" or "role play".
The engineers sistem made combat a Wild West duel (Who shots first most times win) or a heat sink launching party, so traders havent a chance to self defend.
and now we have another great pro-logging: our crew die. like they are gone. BAM
Now that the rant is over, lets talk about some features:
First of all, Why there isnt a player trading sistem? so we could REALY hire players to defend us. Or maybe, diferents types of wings, with especific roles for each CMDR so the combat ships who we hired get paid a nice amount Cr and a bonus for each extra defence succes. Better than SLF, IMO
SHIP TRANFER! YAAAAAAAAAAY: why not let us be passengers instead? whe could buy a ticket at the station we are to any station we have a ship docked. so, to relocate your entire fleet, you need to actualy move them there, BUT you can go werever you have ships docked. More imersive, realistic, it uses the new "game play mechanics" in a new interesting way... Its a win-win. (but the ability to sell ships remotely should still be available).
Talking about passenger, there will be missions for us to hunt down hi profile targets? like whe need to shot the ship until they use the scape pods and take just the right one? i know we dont, but WHY NOT?
WHEN THE !@#$% ALIANCE RANK WILL BE OF TRUE IMPORTANCE on gameplay? Like the Fed and Imp, wich unlock permits, but also ships?
With the "COMMANDERS" update, I realy hope that we get to be more of a COMMANDER and less of just a pilot. Our ship doesnt have crew. an entire anaconda WITHOUT A LIVING SOUL but us. Wouldn't be nice to have some subordinates on bridge? Because player multicrew is realy great, but isnt an full time thing. Also, how the cash is splited betwen commanders? What happens when I log out?
I dont want to bring EVE to elite, but some crew menagement has some flavour to add. (I dont even know if this is a thing on EVE). they can even die by combat damage on ship, and have diferent kinds of crew like combat trained ones, low cost crew just to carry you stuff around and patch the eventual hull breach, ETC.
