Some Mission Details Should be Readapted

As everything is prone to rebalancing these days I'd like to add my 2 cents:

1) Outposts continue to offer bulk passenger missions for 54 first class passengers. Which ship can do those? You guessed correctly, no ship can, not even the mighty Python. 51 first class passengers is the absolute limit. So outpost passenger missions should come with smaller passenger counts compared to large starports.

2) The upper cargo limit for boom delivery missions has recently been increased from 180 to 196 units. This devaluates medium ships even more, exceptions are the Krait Mk. II and the Python. Would it be possible to dynamically adapt the mission boards to the individual ship? So that other medium or even small vessels could be more useful?

Probably worth posting in the suggestions section buddy.

And for what it's worth, I agree with you on point 1. Outposts and medium ships need to be marketed better for missions that are exclusive to them, as many pilots simply ignore anything they can't dock a small brontosaurus on.

Outposts could do with a second medium pad. Because even if you can dock at one you can't because there's always a queue.

Could do anytime, but has there ever been something making it from the suggestions board into the game?
That obviously can't be proved either way - various UI improvements, the startup tips on the spinning ship screen, and detention centres I think I've only seen suggested by players in that specific forum ... but equally:
- Frontier might have thought of them anyway independently
- Frontier might have seen the same suggestion somewhere else entirely

Plenty of other things - material traders, engineers which always improve the module, several other crime bits, the orrery, various rebalancings - were certainly suggested there but also in other forums as well.

The impression I get from which things did get implemented is that it doesn't really make much difference whether you post it here or in Suggestions, but the advantage of Suggestions is that as fewer new threads get created there it's less likely to have fallen off the first page before they next check.

I see your point, but: Would you run those missions in a medium ship with 64 or even 80 tons of cargo capacity as well? Not very likely.
depends on the reward. sourcing 81t of gold for 20+ mio cr or a mission giving inf +++++ i'd do in a 64t ship. it's not like (at least from what i'm seeing, and i run around 20 missions per tick...) there are only 192t missions at outposts. but of course - python is king.

I only occasionally have to wait (playing in Solo mode). But I don't follow the meta, and if NPC activity is based on overall player activity then it could mean this is mainly a problem at very popular stations--which would make some sense.
The last time, I had to wait for one ship to leave the pad and another to come in and dock. Just out of spite I parked just above the highlight and waited, with an Asp hovering right on top of me, for that request to expire. Then the asp left and my request got accepted. Took a few minutes but the satisfaction was nice.

Both passenger and delivery missions need massive adjustments for medium and small ships. The recent changes to delivery in particular were massive nerfs for those, with reduced payouts but increased cargo numbers making single trip deliveries impossible for most of those ships. Passenger missions have been in that place for a long time as well, to the point where the most basic passenger ship - a small taxi - is completely unviable because it is very rare that a mission spawns at all that fits into one of those ships, let alone one that is worth doing.

you can always do those 192t missions in two runs.

Sadly, this.

Back in a day wing cargo missions suffered from partial cargo being destroyed which made whole mission fail as there was no partial delivery option. Solo missions were always all or nothing. So FDEVs introduces partial deliveries so even when part of your cargo gets destroyed/lost you can still complete mission but for lowered pay.

This also introduced partial pick up so total cargo space available isn't an issue here. You can complete 192t missions in stock Sidewinder.

Ofc, our aimed min/max playstyle dictates that you have 192t capable ship which can do this mission in one go as anything else impacts overall performance and makes things unnecessarily longer for the same pay. So through that mindset cargo size change is controversial. But from the dev POV - works as intended as you still can complete this mission even if you don't have a ship that can actually haul everything in one go.

The issue it takes significantly longer - well, it fits perfectly into devs mindset of "high effort, lots of time, low progress".
