Just a few things that have occurred to me:
"Retarget destination" button.
Maybe it's just me that this annoys, but it does irk me that if I'm cruising out to a station, and I see something interesting which I target for more information; then the only way to get back my nice sliding navigation status bars is to go to the right hand screen, scroll the list to my destination, unlock it then re-lock it. It's still locked so it feels like there should be an easy way to get the display back.
Galaxy to System map selection retention.
When I'm browsing the galaxy map for somewhere to go, I frequently go from the galaxy map to individual system maps to look at stations. When I go back to the galaxy map, it has gone back to my current location. If I don't recall the exact name of the system I was viewing, I genuinely may never find it again. Can the galaxy map not stay focused where you left it? After all it's easy enough to get back to your current location if you drift too far on the map, but too hard to find somewhere you were looking at.

Related to the point above, couldn't the search box in the galaxy map accept partial terms, or maybe have a dropdown of choices when you've started typing. There's a whole lot of systems in ED, and some of them have tricky names to remember!
