Newcomer / Intro Some newbie questions (maybe not all of them)

Got some questions for you grizzled commanders out there. Thanks in advance.

1. In case of life support failure what happens after the countdown? Am I instantly dead or do I have some extra moments to land while suffocating?
2. I was flying in my poorly fitted eagle and jumped into the Anaconda police guy chasing some wanted dude in Asp. I opened fire on the criminal but got fined for it (200 cr or something). I was wanted too but the plan was to kill Asp, escape and collect the bounty later. I don't understand why I got fined for attacking a wanted guy in deep space.
3. If I attack a hauler loaded with cargo with my fighter ship can I come later to collect the cargo with my hauler? Can I like make the waypoint there and return later (let's say even afer few hyperjumps)?
4. Is there a feature to quickly display damaged modules of my current target? Looking at the side HUD while manuevering like crazy does not really cut it.
5. On system map, how can I know a station has a black market access? I remember I docked at the station ran by a gang and there was no black market available.
6. How does dormant bounty exactly work?
7. Any tips how not to overshoot in supercruise for maximal time effectivity?
8. Sometimes I get interdicted and when I fail to evade there is no ambush follow up, nothing. What is this?
9. How hard is to evade interdiction for NPC ships or a player (I know the device rank matters but so far I was able to evade most of them with relative ease)?
10. Sometimes the landing helper hud does not appear but I guess that's a bug?
11. What type of damage is the most effective against shields? Kinetic? And thermal against armor?

2. People ask these questions often. The easiest answer is there were probably factors you weren't aware of at the time.

3. No

4. Not any better way

5. Go there first and know the area you are in before you decide to smuggle.

7. Don't have your throttle balls to the wall open all the time. Keep it in the blue just like fighting. Be aware of nearby gravity wells that slow you down but then slingshot you past. As you approach, decrease your throttle to the lower part of the blue zone proactively. All that said, on long supercruise trips I've gotten myself a slice of pizza or a cup of coffee. :)

9 it's easy for some and hard for others. It's pretty easy for me too.

10. Yep bug

11. Other way round. Lasers for shields, kinetic for hull.

#2 You didn't mention if you scanned or not but always scan before shooting. Always. Even if you scan them in sc scan again when you drop. If they red and shooting you though no need.
