Some of my usual Station Display graphics Are Now GREEN?

A few days ago the FUTEN STATION at FUJIN changed from the previous color for the station Hologram and the Station Name with Distance to Target on approach from the usual WHITE and YELLOW to GREEN. Today another of my favorite stops in my RARE TRADE Route went GREEN too. The ORBUCHEV LEGACY station in GEAWEN.

I know this color change must signify something, but I have no idea what.

Anyone know what the color change means?

Congrats CMDR you're now friendly with that station and you'll see the ships flying around now that you are friendly with. Enjoy the green not enough of it in the game IMHO

Next time you request dock look up in the top left. The message will change to something a bit less neutral

This kind of goes to a point I made back in the first week the game was out, that there isn't enough rank up notification communication going on in the game. This is a perfect example, of actually achieving something, but with basically little to no fanfare, the player doesn't even realize something like this has happened until they start noticing things like this color change I reported. I know that having ranked up in the TRADE RANK to a "BROKER" and EXPLORER RANK is now listed as "TRAILBLAZER", I never got a pop up message or anything each time I ranked up in these various areas. I did get an Achievement when I hit TRAILBLAZER which was cool, but that was one of the few times I knew I had ranked up without actually checking the right hand panel display.

Thanks again for the insights! I will look closer at the top left next time I dock with one of these two GREEN stations.

Keep trading at the station, or do missions for one of the factions there. Eventually you'll change.

The docking message changes too (this may have stopped, I am out in the black and not docked for weeks) to 'Greetings Respected Ally' as well.

I haven't noticed a change in the docking message, but I may have just not noticed it. I will pay closer attention when I get to Fujin here in a bit and see if that message had updated to the "Greeting Respected Ally" message you mentioned.

I've noticed one of the fastest ways to become friendly with a station is by doing their board missions and also the charity ones where you just give them credits. It's not usually alot of creds but seems to help your ranking and status with them alot

so in your comms screen when you rank in the three areas: combat/trading/exploration you get a message in the envelope tab. this informs you of said rank up though it only stays there for as long as you're logged in i believe so if you crash it will go away this is just from my experience and is difficult to notice unless you pay attention to the comms screen

The color change is not a rank up like the pilots federation or one of the factions. Your friendly status can fluctuate back and forth depending on your actions. Just remember, blue is wing, green is friendly, yellow/white is neutral and red is hostile.

Come to think of it, I did see a little (1) in that envelope at one point today, but the game did crash on me before I had a chance to check that out. I was wondering what that was. Now I know it was probably a message about GEAWEN going Friendly for me.

P.S. I learned all about the HOSTILE thing the hard way a earlier this evening. Came into a normal stop in my trade route and while I was checking the BB listings the damn place turned HOSTILE and I was TRAPPED! Lost a fully loaded Ship with all RARE items, which all added up to about 3 million credits down the drain.

Took a hint from previous crashes and save and quit after I had launched while still inside the station. That put me safely outside and away from the Feds when I reloaded the game save. I could then go into HC and ultimately jump the hell out of that now forbidden system!

That kind of things needs BETTER communication!

Selling exploration data also contributes to your rep with the station's controlling faction. Selling food as part of a mission will increase your rep with all factions, even if they are enemies with each other.
