Some questions about realism.

1. Will the gravity on planets differ?
2. If you get close to a planet can you get in orbit?
3. Considering there there are suns, is it possible to get too close?
4. Will there be different types of Suns, and will some meet their Demise? (Ex. Supernova style)

As far as I know, Frontier are going to be fairly realistic with their astronomical features.

1.We don't know for certain but it would seem likely that planets will have realistic gravity appropriate for the size and type.

2. Depends what you mean. If you mean full orbital mechanics in the manner of something like Kerbal Space Program then the answer is no. If you just mean 'can we fly around a planet?' then the answer is yes and in future expansions you will even be able to land on them.

3. Even in the original game from the 80's it was possible to get too close, so yes you can get too close.

4. As far as I know Frontier have said that they will try and get things pretty much astronomically correct. We will have different types of stars. Supernova have not been ruled out, but may be a rare event.

They have already said that there will be different kinds of humans (mesomorhps, ectomorphs, endomorphs etc.) depending on the gravity that they were raised in - so it follows that the planets will have different gravities. :)
