Newcomer / Intro Some questions after playing a few months

Hi,

these are a bit random:

1. Is it possible to have a 'one click' command to target a ships Power Plant? Going through the menus is a bit tedious.
2. I used to pick up dropped cargo when a pirate explodes and as long as I don't pick up illegal goods, scans by federal services don't find anything. Recently though, I'm marked with carrying illicit cargo and get a fine. Though having said that, last night some cargo I picked up did not end up in a fine for me. Has something changed?
3. I have a beam laser with signature assist and its not long before its used up the energy and then just fires every second. Is there a way to get recharging done faster? Do I have to buy something/press a button?
4. Anacondas with big bounties seem to have become rare, or is it me?

Thanks

R

1. No
2. Not all cargo is marked as stolen, some cargo is merely abandoned.
3. Upgrade your Power Distributor and apply more pips to WEP if possible.
4. It's just you, I see them every day.

I'll just add with reference to number 3, are you managing your pips? 4 pips to weapons will have them drain slower, and recharge faster.

You can bind a key or a wheel (mouse wheel for example) to subsystems and scroll through to the desired system to target faster than using the menu.

You'll only find legal "abandoned" cargo if another player drops it. Npcs only drop cargo that's marked illegal.

On 1., you can bind keys for targeting the next/previous subsystem, it is up to you whether you find this less tedious than selecting from the menu.

1. You can bind a key / joystick button to cycle subsystems and then just keep hitting it until you get to the power plant. I think the default is Y. I do it with a joystick button.
