Some Questions. Hopefully the Devs will answer.

I have some questions:
1. This question basically started all my other questions: Is there a maximum social and population requirement for animals that aren't Solitary? Like the Plains Zebra?
2. This question is related to my other thread: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/size-matters.519668/ the question is explained better there but I'll include it in my list. Those the Size od the Enclosure affect the Maximum Population/Social requirement of the animals inhabiting it?
3. This question was also part of the thread linked above: Those distance from other species not matter as long as they're in the same enclosure no matter how HUMUNGOUS?
4. If the answer above is no, then id herding in Planet Zoo better and more effective than Jurassic World Evolution's herding?
5. Can Baby animals be born with Disabilities? (Anemia, Weak Bones, stuff like that)
6. Do the Parents take care of their childrenuntil grown up? (Show it Food and Water, give it baths, etc.)
7. If the answer above is yes, then do the Parents tend to be protective to their children?
8. What happens to the children when their parents die?
9. Is there a Hatching Animation for Animals that lay eggs?
10. Can the Eggs be Broken/Trampled by other Animals?
11. Does the temperature affect the eggs?
12. Can animals break out?
13. If the answer above is yes, then what are the terms and conditions required for an animal to try and break out?
14. Can guests be eaten or killed?
15. Do the Animals interact with everything?
16. Is everything considered a solid to animal A.I.? What I mean is, like in Jurassic World Evolution, the Dinosaurs can stick their body parts into everything. Hope this isn't the case for Planet Zoo.
17. Are there already aquatic animals included to the base game?
18. Do animals have an environmental requirement? (Forest, Wetland, Plains, etc.)
19. Do the mechanics and A.I. behavior allow the creation of balanced ecosystems? This question is based off of another of my threads: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/territorial-animals.519596/ I got into a bit of a friendly argument about this topic there so I hope this question is answered.

Those are all my questions regarding the game for now. I'll keep posting all my questions here if I ever think of any more. I hope the Devs see this and answer them. I'm not expecting an answer to all my questions cause it might spoil an upcoming announcement, if there is going to be one.

The answer to these questions will probably see at gamescom. :)
17-my guess is that the water animals will only be in the main game of the penguin. other dolphins or something would probably come with the Dlc.

Actually a question from me:
What will happen to an animal if a species mates for life and its partner dies? will it get depressed and be more susceptible to illness? is it likely that it could mate again but the pairing has to be very specific and is rare?

It would also be great if as well as vets there are farriers also! The zebras, prezwalski horses and possibly giraffes need their hooves trimming probably every 10 weeks if theyre moving around a lot and wearing them down - its every 5 weeks for domestic horses! I feel like this would add an extra level of detail to the game;)

Guests won't get attacked if an animal gets out. They will run away from them. Unfortunately they can only answer if that part of the game has been made public. As Kaan said we may find out more at Gamescon

Great question, I didn't think about that🤔 But like @heatherg23 said, we will most likely get our answers at Gamescon.

But I'm not going because I'm from the Philippines. So hopefully the Devs see this and answer all our questions. Or maybe someone here that's going to gamescon can ask them. Anyone wanna volunteer?😂

So Guests in Planet Zoo can't die? Where did you get this info from?

Here's a few more questions:
1. Do pack carnivores Hunt in Groups?
2. If the answer above is yes, is there tactical hunting?
3. Do animal A.I. only see things in front of them?
4. If the answer above is yes, that means they don't panic if they don't see predators?
5. Do specific Predators like specific prey?
6. Can every animal defend themselves?

From the devs.
And seeing how they cant die in Planet Coaster, and they are exactly the same (so it seems) its pretty obvious that they cant. Plus as much as I love these questions, I really think people are looking away too much into this game.... birth defects, extreme social behaviors, depression of animals if mate/parent dies... I think this is going way beyond what they are trying to do in this game (my opinion) and the coding would be difficult for some of these. And, is it really needed? The environment and other animal interactions, I get and glad they are doing... even playing with toys and water interaction looks great... but I think we need to remember its a game and they can only do so much... these are not real animals and to simulate 100% realism isn't feasible..... yet.

I'm not requesting anything, I'm asking for answers. I'm asking if certain things are part of the game, not telling the devs to do anything.

Holy heck, Starkiller04, that's a potload of questions you got! Maybe a bit too much...

But yeah, hopefully Bo or someone else would answer it for you
Yeah, I know. I usually ask alot of questions for everything, I don't know if its just because I'm 12 years old, or its just because there really is alot of things to ask, especially since the devs have only confirmed a few things about Planet Zoo.

Hopefully I do get some answers (For atleast some of my questions) at Gamescom or maybe get the answers from a Community Manager. I'm just really curious about the game mechanics and A.I. behaviour because:
1. Most of the Mechanics I ask is for making ecosystems as I like to create alot in Animal games. Hopefully Planet zoo's game mechanisms and A.I. behaviour allow for near balanced ecosystems.
2. I'm curious on how the game might turn out.

Happy to answer the ones I can answer for now!

I have some questions:
1. This question basically started all my other questions: Is there a maximum social and population requirement for animals that aren't Solitary? Like the Plains Zebra?
All animals have specific social needs based on their real life counterparts :).
2. This question is related to my other thread: https://forums.frontier.co.uk/threads/size-matters.519668/ the question is explained better there but I'll include it in my list. Those the Size od the Enclosure affect the Maximum Population/Social requirement of the animals inhabiting it?
It'll depend on the animal's needs as far as I'm aware, if they need a lot of space and the habitat is too small, they'll be unhappy and unhealthy. Some animals are harder to take care of than others.
5. Can Baby animals be born with Disabilities? (Anemia, Weak Bones, stuff like that)
I'm unsure about those very specific ones you mentioned, but if you aren't wary of inbreeding, you can have very unhappy and unhealthy animals that won't have very nice lives, and in turn also won't please your guests a lot!
6. Do the Parents take care of their children until grown up? (Show it Food and Water, give it baths, etc.)
There is definitely a limit to how far the simulation goes, but baby animals will live with their parents until they mature, again depending on their individual species.
12. Can animals break out?
Yes, if your fences break or your animals are stressed/unhappy with their habitat. Some animals that can climb might also find a cheeky way out if you're not careful about your object placement.
13. If the answer above is yes, then what are the terms and conditions required for an animal to try and break out?
An animal needs to be stressed or very unhappy with its surroundings in order to break out, as far as I know.
14. Can guests be eaten or killed?
No, this is a Planet game at heart and we are all about light-hearted humour; guest deaths wouldn't be a fun experience for anyone!
15. Do the Animals interact with everything?
There's a lot they interact with, and react to, most notably the feeding and enrichment items, climbing frames, and each other.
16. Is everything considered a solid to animal A.I.? What I mean is, like in Jurassic World Evolution, the Dinosaurs can stick their body parts into everything. Hope this isn't the case for Planet Zoo.
The game is in development at the moment but of course we are doing our very best to avoid any animal clipping - it's still a game though, and things can always happen! Do let us know if you spot anything odd, so we can take a look!
18. Do animals have an environmental requirement? (Forest, Wetland, Plains, etc.)
Yes, in the in-game Zoopedia you can find all the information needed to take care of your animals perfectly, such as which environment they prefer, which foliage they like and comes from their actual habitat, which enrichment they want, etc. You can use the filter system to find items that work for them perfectly.

I hope i can post my question here too so its all in one nice place.

1. Will it be challenging to look after your animals as i find that its bit too easy to get them happy? Cause if they become all happy what else is there to do then design?

2. Can enrichments include other things then just toys like shade, plants, terrain type? So players are force to change things around and make things different after a while? And it will help them with their creativity?

Thank you boo or anyone that can answer!

Not that I'm going to pretend to know anything, but I figured I would give an opinion.

I'm going to assume this is going to work the same with Planet Zoo as it did with Planet Coaster. The sandbox mode is technically for limitless creativity; however the other modes (if like Planco) should have very limited starting funds. I found Planet Coaster quite challenging because I had to start off with so little in the scenarios and I very much enjoyed that. I would expect Planet Zoo to be like that as well where you have to start off with very little and build your zoo and fortune from there which will likely take quite a bit of time. That's just my two cents assuming the Challenge modes will be the same.

Thank you Kitcat i think i remember you!!!! :) I remember your pic! So it might have look easy cause they unlimited funds those who were streaming? But even with limited money i am just worried the happiness of the animal is a bit too easy to archived.

I see those streaming put down one toy and the happiness just become positive. I would like more time involved before the bar stays positive. Do more things get more involved like the staff actually being there and interacting with the animals. So you will need a staff 24/7 to be there and entertain them or with animals teach them new trick and skills so they can share it with other animals. Something like that as I don't see the streamers just zooming into one of the lemurs and just spending 20 min doing things with it.

And not all animals require it just the one that requires lot of interaction like the Lemur as they are very social or the big cats.

I just hope it won't be a show and forget or only go into the exhibit when the bar becomes red. In Planet Coaster you could set down the rides and then just forget about it and do other things i just hope it won't be like this for the zoo.

Perhaps what i asked is too much and required a whole new sequel?

I think your questions are fair! I noticed the same thing (but it is nice to see the bar go up as you implement more things into the habitat). I'm not really sure!
