I play Elite Dangerous only few hours and i have some Questions or better Ideas we must talk about. It is possible that some of them actually exists in Elite, but i do not discover it.
1. Navigationcomputer
The Galaxymap looks very nice and give us a feeling, how big our galaxy is. But why it is not possible to calculate an effective route to a target destination? We fly lightyears with frameshift-drives and on bord exists no navigation? Today in real life we have since smartphones all a navigation-program in our pocket - an in the future dosnt exist? I dont understand this.
2. HUD-Display
We have in our ship-panel the scanner integrated, who show us, where was located is. But if i select a target, never shows me in which direction i must fly. I look around, turn the ship - to find the direction of my target - their must be some more information displayed on the HUD
3. Weapensystems
In every Spacesimgame, the weaponsystems are so oldscool and uninspired - i cant understand. In a time where mankind realize a frameshift-drive, their must be also a big development in weapon-technology. Starring guns and homeseeking missiles are oldscool, modern warships and combatplanes use today better weapon technology
4. Injurance
Ok it is possible to pay for a injurance, and if we lost our ship, the injurance replace it. But i think, that can be little more different! From where you have the injurance (from wich fraction) - when you change your fraction it can be happen that you lost the injurance and you must look for another. Then - you the good boy and you attack a bad boy - you lost your ship and the injurance replace it, but what if, when you the bad boy and you risk to attack friendly/neutral npcs or players? I think its the own risk and so the injurance will not pay - like in real life!
5. in the later future of the Spacesim
The complete Galaxy is so big, never can really all stars discover. So it is enough place for many secrets - and the question, are we alone? I think it is enough place to integrate other races (friendly, agressive, mystirios etc.) I think for all the explorer was it a big motivation to explore unkown systems - never knows what you find
and you can find not only new stars, planets and moons.
6. near orbits to the planets
The big spacestations located in geostationary position above the planets, thats why it looks the planets dont rotate. But in near orbits we can surround the planet and i think it looks amazing, like the ISS surrounding the earth and we see the big and imposant horizon of the planet
