I've just recently read and replied to a necro thread... and it got me thinking about a few nice ideas that perhaps the Devs have on the table - perhaps not...
We all want an immersive game and I've been putting in a fair bit of time over the past few weeks. There seems to be a few missing elements IMHO.
So here are a few I'd personally like to see:
Just a few ideas that are not graphic intensive, but more to do with gameplay - and should just be extensions of existing code?
Love to hear your ideas... but bearing in mind these are additions and not massive features like FPS, or huge game developments.
We all want an immersive game and I've been putting in a fair bit of time over the past few weeks. There seems to be a few missing elements IMHO.
So here are a few I'd personally like to see:
- Comets, Asteroids / rogue bodies. Perhaps can be researched or mined (but not destroyed!)
- Signs of previous explorations beyond the bubble, such as abandoned platforms, outposts.
- Tempting signs or encounters with other civilisations (+Thargoids of course) - but are we the only ones?
- Escort runs through dangerous areas - where the law / navies make a scheduled run to another distant system and you can pay to join them (and get a bit of protection).
- Buletin boards - corporations want to buy your data (specific locations) and pay more than generic Universal Cartographer.
- A bio-sign scanner - or does this already work with the detailed surface scan?
- More products to trade; genetic material, seeds, insect colonies etc for terraforming.
