Is it true that some signs can't be modified? Example the 'Pirate Village' sign or the sign with the cat.

Yes, those are the old ones from Alpha 1. All these objects cannot be recolored......
That's too bad, that explains a lot. Sometimes you see them modified in screenshots/videos
this and other posts got me wondering about making longer signs (more characters).

Hey, great job with your experiments! Had a look through your other videos (including your extended signs) and I must say, I really like your series. I hope you will continue doing them as they have given me some good ideas.
i appreciate the comment as it does take time away from the game to edit and upload videos
