So, I thought a bit about the upcoming aliens and maybe even a upcoming war.
Personaly I love to explore the unknown, so I would love to have the option to befriend with the Aliens, to not be forced to fight them.
I thought about some features this could bring. Please leave your feedback, I would love to hear other opinions.
A player could find unknown signal sources where an unknown ship waits. The power will fail after dropout and maybe the ship scanns the player.
Then it decides, if the player is "worthy" of becoming friends with the aliens. This could be done by checking how many unknown ships the player killed in the war.
If the player is "worthy" a quest could apper in the transactions tab after/during reboot (maybe with a little spoken dialog).
The player must fetch somethings or something like that... Some Unknown Artifacts, rare or even toxic goods.
Then deliver them to another unknown signal source, to rais their reputation.
Then get a quest again.
When the reputation reaches a certain mark, the alien could drag the player with it to an alien station. This stations should be in witchspace.
So no human could nomaly reach them. There the player's ship will be upgraded. Now he can find and drop out (or drop into the witchspace bubbles with the stations).
The Stations could be displayed like normal signals in supercruise, but only players with the upgrade can find them and drop into them.
At a Station a player could take quests, buy goods, purchas special modules, like better FSDs...
Of corse the aliens should have their own currency, so a player has two balances.
A really cool feature would be, that you can pay the aliens (in goods and/or money) to transport you to another alien station somewhere in the galaxy.
The jump should not be instant, but take 10 to 15 minutes real time.
But I understand, if this is not realized.
A player should not be able to span at an alien station... So if the player betrays the alien faction (like fighting in the war againt them or killing alien ships) the aliens can hunt the player.
The upgrades are not replaced when he respawnes, so the aliens could hunt the player, if they betray the aliens.
