I absolutely love JWE2. In a lot of ways, it builds on what was strong in JWE1 and it's been a blast to play.
Just a couple of thoughts to help boost the little things that make the game world feel so right in these games:
Just a couple of thoughts to help boost the little things that make the game world feel so right in these games:
- Could we please get path snaps at the front stairs for the classic visitor's center and control center? I know guests can't climb the stairs, but at least having a path snap would make it less awkward since we don't have any sort of paved terrain paint? Maybe give us some paved terrain paints?
- The raptor pen - please, please let us place this prop again. Jurassic Park is just...not the same without it
- Bring back JWE1 aviary for JP-era sandbox. The small cage-style aviary really fits the atmosphere and the lore supports it as there were pterosaurs in the films.
- Bring back buildings from the first game that were cut - especially the specific guest buildings ( security center with the bunker doors for example) to serve as amenities within the park.
- Can helicopters for expeditions and the entry points be set to come and go again like in JWE1? Having them perpetually parked removes that layer of ambient activity of the park "working" around the player. having the rangers randomly patrol is great as an added mechanic, but the expedition and guest transport helicopters should move about when it makes sense.
- Campaign maps for sandbox, and JWE1 maps in sandbox, perhaps?
- Just a thought - something that I think would be great as an optional extra: A "Logistics Center" - the vehicles used to repair/maintain other vehicles/buildings rather than having the rangers do everything. Could also have helipads for transport helicopters as well. I love the attention to detail regarding having a lot of the back-end park logistics actually simulated in the game world, but I think it would be a lot more immersive to have a place for that activity to be set in, rather than having everything come from off-screen when it comes to transporting large dinosaurs, for example.
