Somebody cut my galaxy in half...

Hi folks,
on my long and arduous journey to the core (halfway there, yeah) I noticed somebody obviously has stolen half of the Milkyway...

Is that a skybox overload due to the density of luminous objects around the core? Have the Thargoids started the "War for Eternal Darkness (tm)"?

That's just the border of the hyperspace bypass demolition work. They had to remove a few systems. Should make the commute to Saggitarius A* a little quicker.

This is a fairly common occurrence, caused by the Stellar Forge setting the average star density for a two adjacent cubes of the galaxy to very different values, one high and one low. Either that or the Borg Cubes are bigger than anyone thought

Theres loads of bugs with the stellar forge. Filter star type by white dwarf, the only ones in the galaxy seem to be around Sol. Then filter by Proto stars, there are none in a big bubble around Sol. But are common through the rest of the galaxy.

Other things I've seen are planets orbiting inside stars, or in other impossible orbits. The dark side of planets facing stars (caused by the engine not showing more than one star light source at a time).

All have been brought up multiple times since alpha, but not fixed :(

@EddyRockSteady: Man, those boogers are what holds my old lady together... wipe them off and my trusty "FAILBLAZER" will join the spacedust club...

@LOTGS: Now that I've taken a look at your pictures... I've noticed that before, but dismissed it as a graphics glitch in the galaxy map. Seems to have some substance, though...

I can assure you there are very dense fields of white dwarfs in other areas.

You see the border of between two sectors - one with plenty of B-type star and one with very few. Blame the games star algorithm for that one.
