Someone please fix the severe LAG in LHS3447 and ERAVATE

Yeah you're just asking for trouble in those systems, jump to a populated system around 2 small jumps away and it should be a little more bearable.

Haha, I know all this my fellow commanders, but what would they do if the game sold millions and everyone was mad for it?

These starter systems are the first impression. Today it was awful! Took me about 3 minutes to load the system map and my ship was steering like a jpeg slideshow at one picture every 10 seconds. Haha!

I've always thought they should spread people out a bit more, maybe even let starting players pick a power which then makes them spawn in that powers territory. Would probably get an even spread of players picking different powers than just Fed and Imp and it could be more immersive.

with horizons there also come new alternative starter positions.

Definitely a GOOD idea which is also something I think they should do because they throw people into a Hudson starter system and people who don't chose him or Felicia but do opt into powerplay probably get set upon by the feds.

This definitely should be implemented since it would give you the choice.

Thank you for your co-operation in this time of great importance. :). Lol
The lag is what happens when someone in the instance has a bad connection, you'd think it would just drop the bad connection person, but it doesn't, so lag becomes insane. I'm guessing it doesn't because it actually is trying to improve the issue, for example it only exists in super cruise to my knowledge.

So yeah, lotsa new people more with bad connections, more horrible lag until a fix is found, problem with finding a fix is that, you'd need to catch that specific person and find what is wrong with their connection, on xbox one, that is especially difficult, on pc at least we have netlog to submit.

I'm just glad to hear that there's so many noobs that the starter systems are lagging. Ahhh, some fresh life blood for the game!

It's not so much the number of noobs - but the absolutely rubbish connections they play on.

Try tracerouting a few of them - and either laugh or cry in despair.

The lag in the starter systems is entirely intentional. After all we don't want the CoD lot stumbling in here just because a few quid's been knocked off the price, now do we?! They'll take a peek, say 'that's barely 30fps' and do one. As planned. I mean, what's the alternative? Allowing in a marauding, sweaty mob who don't know a limpet from a Coriolis! Heavens, no. FDev, take note, please don't remedy this situation. It'll only end up worse in the long run, mark my words.

We'll all be fine though! Once they un-dock, they'll never be able to figure out how to re-dock! [haha] They'll be left drifting out in space! Cold and alone, at 25fps. XD

I sat outside of Trevithick Dock in my iCourier, watching all the brand-spanking new sidewinders float around. It was honestly kind of cute watching them slowly bump into the stations, signs, each other, and myself. Like watching a baby horse take its first steps. So now that's just what I see Sidewinders as. Baby spaceships. Clumsily learning how to fly and gently bumping into the only solid object for hundreds upon hundreds of thousands of kilometers.

It's even more cute to sit outside a station to watch the baby pilots bumps slowly into things in their first few outings in a shieldless Cutter [yesnod]

This might be the cutest thing I've seen all day. And I'm always looking at cats. No, really, there's five of them and they're all indoors. Plus I can't even read about worldwide atrocities without some colourful sidebar offering me kittens stuck in jars etc. I remember way back when...all we had was Catscan. Type that in now and you get pages about stuff to do with your brainicles. Back then? Just pages of cats laying on scanners, kind of like office workers' butts on the copier.
I digress. +1 rep

'Coming soon to a Robigo near you - Noobs in 'Condas, the hilarious new hidden camera show.' C'mon, folks we can make this happen. Even SuperCruise isn't safe from cameras again.

Game is Peer to Peer hosted, if there was lag in your instance it means you were either in an instance with someone who has bad internet or your internet was having a bad day. I was there helping a friend get started the other day and there were no lag issues.

I've been playing this game since the beta on PC and I still bump into things on occasion. Usually whenever I change to a different sized ship after a while of Flying something Bigger/smaller. I hopped into my Vulture to join a friend at the Nespeleve CG the other day (Corvette can jump to save it's life) having had been flying my Corvette for quite some time. Went to boost out of the letterbox (Something I do frequently in the Corvette) misjudged the drift of the ship and collided with the station at 390m/s and died on impact lol.
