Something dissapointing about the Eurasian Lynx

I love the model of the lynx but I'm disappointed that it has the same animation set as the jaguar, a much larger, pantherine cat.

Even the clouded leopard has this problem to a degree. It would be nice for the small cats in the game to have proper small cat animations.

Glad people are liking this but REPLIES are what's needed to rly let Frontier know what we want.

And in the future, think of things like a potential caracal and serval

Yeah, it'd be nice. I didn't really notice much of an issue but I'm always an advocate for new animations, just to flesh the game out.

Totally agree that the game currently lacks any cats that behave/move in ways more reminiscent of true small cats. But I also don’t see Frontier putting in the extra time to get all the movements more accurate, whether it be through the already in-game Eurasian Lynx or a future small cat in DLC. They’d likely just “speed up” the same animations already used on the current Eurasian Lynx/Jaguar to make them feel more adjusted to a small creature. We already saw this happen with the Fennec Fox, as it use the same animations as PZ’s large canids.

Additionally if Frontier were ever to introduced new felid animations/behaviors, it’d be only through a new, paid-for DLC species. Never has a species in PZ received any major overalls after they were made available to the public. So I don’t find the odds of Frontier revisiting the Lynx high at all unfortunately.

It would be nice to have some variation in animations between big and small cats, for example instead of the lying down as resting animation, give it a sitting one. Good example is a different set of animation for Sun bears and all the other bears in game. Frontier nailed that one and gave the sun bear alot of unique animations, would be nice to have the same variation between small and big cats.
