Discussion Something is very wrong...

So i was trying to install EDFX for this game and it turns out i dont have a thing called elitedangerous64.exe and it lead me to realise im missing many folders which is require[mad]d to install those kind of mods so can someone help me out?

Depends on whether you are using Steam or just the Frontier Launcher.

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Elite Dangerous Horizons\Products\elite-dangerous-64

C:\Users\USER\AppData\Local\Frontier_Developments\Products\elite-dangerous-64

*note* you will need to set hidden files to visible to browse the folders to this destination.

What version of ED are you running? and where are you looking. Not at my home PC but I have edefex installed but will need to wait until I get home to see where I have it all installed. I think it's FDEV - pretty sure there is a guide somewhere here on the forums that tells you where the stuff is all installed.

I do not know how it is the installation folder in a no-steam install, but in my steam install there is a EDlaunch.exe file. This is launcher of the game where I select which version of the game I want, 32 or 64 bit.

How to find the executable:

1) Start Elite Dangerous.
2) Go into the taskmanager and make a right-click on the ED game process (not the launcher, of course).
3) Choose OPEN FILE FOLDER and you will see the folder of the executable.
