Horizons Something strange just happened

And it’s weirded me out I might need to go to the doctors.

so I decided to take a look at the station rescue stuff. I Was blown away, for the first time in a long time I was on the seat of my pants, fully awake and forced to concentrate to the max. Dodging debris and explosion, heat issues and time constraints it all had me engrossed.

but that’s not what weirded me out. Oh no that happened when I thought I’d have a look in open.

you see I’m a solo junky, I play this game for me, it’s for my kicks my relaxation, it’s for my enjoyment NOT the enjoyment of those inflicted with a joyless soul. BUT LISTEN UP THIS ISNT ANOTHER SOLO V OPEN THREAD far from it.

BECAUSE

i ENJOYED IT. yup I had FUN and I’m not sure how to take it lol. Had some great banter with other commanders sat in ques for the rescue ship and even the occasional ‘jumper’ couldn’t dampen the spirits.

So id like to say a big thank you to all those commanders who made my first proper foray into open a most enjoyable experience. Il still fly mostly solo as that’s my bat but mayb every now and again il dip my toe back into open. Well that’s unless the doctor does say I’m mentally imbalanced.

I tried open and it was great. Why? Because I didn't have to kill Commanders. There were none!:D
And not to many NPCs!

Today I played solo! Chain intediction of 4 NPCs. Wow! Was it a chain or what? Killed a couple. Sick of combat. Won 3 more interdictions before I landed.
I was attacked again and again by NPCs. 3 Anacondas at once. Got 2. The first hi-waked and came back with a mate. Did them both in and the third one took out my windscreen.
I believe in 25 minutes of extra air. I finished of the 3rd Annie and then was attacked by a couple of gunships. I was getting cranky by then. No screen but I got em.
Landed to repair.
Darn it! No repair! Went to the next place over and got a repair. I was interdicted and tried to escape. Hit the planet on the opposite side to the interdiction. Weird Huh? 14 minutes left. I was quite proud of my efforts.

But I'm gonna give open another go. Less NPCs. (I hope) :D

A question. Why do you allow yourself to be interdicted in the first place. When it is so easy to excape by flying out of it? Just wondering as I get interdicted at least 1 out of every 3 missions and have only been interdicted once and that was my own fault. For myself it is so easy to escape these that I find it hard to belive that so many Commanders have to end up in a fight? Anyway have a great Christmass and a very safe (flying) new year.
