Something to keep you entertained while in the black (podcast)

This is an easy listening astronomy podcast that talks about much of the stuff we see in game and puts it in a wider context. Kind of like Power Play, but for explorers :D

It's fun to listen to while you are out scanning these objects in the deep black. If you go to gamer or sci-fi conventions, you might even recognize the Astrophysicist Pamela Gay, who is a frequent panelist at places like Dragon Con. Great voice. They have hundreds of episodes over the last 7 years, but here are few that are very game related...

Oh, that's great, thanks a lot! I love listening to podcasts or audio books while out there, it's the only entertainment that doesn't ruin my concentration.

Ohhh this is awesome, thanks!

Another great one that I've been listening to for a very long time is StarTalk Radio with Neil deGrasse Tyson. It's hilarious and informative and not overly technical. Very entertaining :)

Edit: I just realized that Fraser Cain (one of the hosts) founded Universe Today which I've been reading for years!

Fraser has an amazing amount of knowledge for an amateur. That is what is great about astronomy, it's not an exclusive sport. Amateurs have been contributing and even making breakthrough discoveries since the beginning. Some of them are even better at spotting super novae than professionals with robotic automated telescopes!
